I love CTE, but as an arachnophobe, it's pretty fucking hard to search for songs called Spiderhead and Black Widow

A spider harms you just as much as any other potentionally poisonous animals. Frogs, Snakes, Bats, Spiders, Centipedes, etc... so why only spiders?

You know, I really like Cage, and the backing to this track is probably the best on the album. But what I don't understand is why Matt Shultz has been singing so much with a falsetto voice? I mean, he has an awesomely unique sound normally. Why does he feel he needs to ditch that for something that frankly is of lower quality? I can see using a higher pitched voice on one or two songs at most, when it fits, but he's now doing it almost every song, to the point that it's starting to sound forced. Idk I guess I'm just surprised that he backed off so much from what his first album vocals were like.

nah I know what you're talking about. the original album had an awesome garage rock vibe, and I almost feel like theyre going for a foster the people type of sound now. I kind of miss the original stuff too

Somewhat agree with you, I found that he forced less his voice in Paris gig and this was way better in live : )

I mean this album is about trying new things and the fear that people won't like it (thus Melophobia), so I guess he just wants to try something new as well as the style of the music the band wants to change.

Couldn't agree more, the band really tried hard to find an original sound and, while doing so, they experimented with allot of different sounds in this album. I my opinion, the end result was great, though I still like they're earlier albums, mainly for nostalgic reason, but I still believe this band is only getting better and better.
