Byrds, The - Natural Harmony Lyrics
Fallin' free, me and you
Happenin' so graciously
You can't hurry natural harmony
Feel so free, wider than me
Our first awakening to this earth
Dancing through the streets side by side
Head thrown back, arms open wide
Going home, almost gone
Merging with a grain of sand
Try hard to catch us if you can
Dancing through the streets side by side

I wonder how Gram Parsons was able to convince them to do country music.
The band was already flirting with country music. Like "Wasn't Born to Follow", "Old John Robertson", "Time Between", even "Mr. Spaceman", so it wasn't too much of a stretch. Of course, on those albums (Notorious, Younger, 5D) you also have psychedelia and folk rock too, but it was Parsons who suggested they go full-on country for Sweetheart of the Rodeo.
McGuinn and Hillman have a great harmony. Like Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins in a way; they have very different singing voices, but together, you could almost swear it was double-tracked.
it is double tracked for the most part
