Buzzcocks - Are Everything Lyrics

Your looks
My charm
My own imagination
My loves
Your hates
Your own infatuation
Are everything
Are everything

My hopes
Your fears
Your only limitation
Your thoughts
My schemes
My own evaluation
Are everything
Are everything

My looks
Your charm
Your own imagination
Your loves
My hates
My own infatuation
Are everything
Are everything

Your hopes
My fears
My only limitation
My thoughts
Your schemes
Your own evaluation
Are everything
Are everything

Buzzcocks Are Everything Comments
  1. M.... L....

    great jukebox tune! still

  2. J.... M....

This has such a 1980 vibe that it makes my spine tingle a little. (I wish I'd actually heard it back then--I can *imagine* hearing it as I walked into the crowded, brightly-lit Record Bar at my local mall. Lots of Gary Numan and Blondie coming over the speakers then, but unfortunately no Buzzcocks.) On the dawn-of-the-decade spectrum, "Are Everything" lies somewhere between the too-easy optimism of the Village People's "Ready for the 80's" and the tragic fragility of "Shandi" by Kiss.

  3. M.... E....

  11. c.... ....

    See her later Pete ☹

  12. D.... E....

Spacy jam. Rumour is they all dropped acid for recording and mixing.Seems like something Martin Hannet would have done . Heaven 17 covered it.

    D.... E....

Heaven 17´s cover is also brilliant, but the original is just amazing

    D.... E....

@Pavel Rakyta In the 🇺🇸 the initial Best of 💿 faded out , the engineer unaware of the "false" ending ! Heaven 17 version is ☝ 😎

  13. M.... L....

    Still a fucking great tune!

  14. Z.... C....

    They should have sued Prince

  15. M.... L....

    Fucking great tune!

  16. m.... ....

    everyone knows it's windy

  17. P.... G....

Listen to the similarity in the song "Windy" by The Association. Love this song though.

    P.... G....

Very observant. I wouldn't have made the connection.

  18. T.... A....

First song I ever heard from the Cocks. Loved it immediately. And everything else I heard. Ive even seen them at least 10 times and partied backstage with them plenty

  19. r.... g....

Buzzcocks best band ever ....... the only punk band who sang about LOVE

    r.... g....

    The Ramones too ;)

    r.... g....

Its a different generation, but check out the descendents who were an american punk band who peaked a few years after buzzcocks and have the faster socal skate punk sort of sound. But their songs are really similar in the sense that they are super catchy songs about teenage love, they even have at least one beach boys cover.

    r.... g....

    @dfpguitar yeah I know 'em :')

  20. c.... k....

great song but I,ll say this though,it does sound like they weren't bothered if the song was a hit or not,it wasn't but hence I like the buzzcocks.

  21. M.... N....

great music great band could have done loads of more albums

  22. c.... k....

great song, looked at the fun factory clip of the group performing the song on their...........it seemed to me like they just didn't give a toss about the song, especially towards the end.

  23. S.... ....

    Just Buzzcocks. No "The"

  24. I.... S....

The best thing they ever did

  25. c.... k....

I like this song but the way it is being played etc by the group I personally think they were past caring,if it was a hit or not............but it obviously  wasn't.

  26. J.... S....

Anyone else hear Raspberry Beret in the intro?

    J.... S....

Also a little bit of "Wendy" by the Association.

  27. B.... W....

    drug music for non-hippies

  28. A.... W....

This is a Hannett experiment like the Invisible Girls record that is slightly up its own arse, but its SO loose and fun, who cares???

    A.... W....

+Andrew Wells hmmmmm the Invisible Girls album is excellent.

    A.... W....

+BagBoy81 I love it dearly as well!!

  29. H.... P....

punk.....don't think so....helluva cool edgy pop band with some cutting edge themes

  30. S.... P....

LOVE this song to bits, it never gets old!

  31. j.... ....

This is a great song but the production is very uneven with a heavy reliance on re-verb. Producer Martin Hannett, who gained fame for producing Joy Division, seemed to take the same approach with the Buzzcocks and it was not their style of production. This a great song still and I would have loved to see what producer Martin Rushent would have done with it. Rushent also produced other Buzzcocks classics like Ever Fallen in Love and What do I get.

    j.... ....

    i guess, maybe!

  32. j.... ....

Holy SHIT ! Somebody got this up and running ! AWESOME ! THANK _YOU MAN ! been searchin a while !

  33. D.... ....

Great song!!! Thanks for the upload!!

  34. D.... ....

This was 1st punk tune I ever heard back about 1977-78 luved em ever since...note the riff was copied by Prince on "rasberry Beret" years latter...

    D.... ....

    I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!!!

    D.... ....

Dannoga Sounds like a cross between that and the riff from "Windy".

  35. D.... ....

    I love this SONG!
    Buzzcocks are fuckin aweosme!

  36. J.... Q....

very underated, one of the most sweet songs of them

  37. T.... ....
