Now this is Bush!! The Bush we would rather hear than a lot of the songs on the album. Don’t get me wrong. There are some keepers on the original standard edition like Peace-S, Ravens, Water, Nurse, and The Beat of Your Heart. But this song makes me look forward to a new album that will hopefully be more rock.

This band has got some real talent, Gavin is in his 50s, Gavin and the band Bush are still making alternative rock still look that great!!! From 1992 up until now, Bush keeps on amazing me to this day. Props to Gavin and the band Bush!!!

I think its the producers over producing the songs. Everything compressed like a big blur. None of the instruments have any room to breathe and lots of reverb and echo where it isnt needed. Hearing it live sounds totally different.

Daniel McIsaac it's an international re-release of the album with these two songs. At least on streaming platforms it has "This Is War" as track 1 and "Alien Language" as track 8 or so

If the album needed a re-release it's because it was a fail.

Matt Savas I noticed there's a re-order of tracks compared to initial release. And apparently 'This is War' was released as a single?

The album definitely did not sell well and I believe he wanted to bolster the album with at least one solid rock song, and "Alien Language" is a catchier ballad than any other on 'Rainbows'. ... "This Is War" is being pushed, but unsure if they'll create a music video, etc for promoting it. They should, it's now the lead off track and that album overall stunk.

The label they originally released the album with didn't do anything to promote the album. Signing with BMG won't hurt.

Good to hear this, strong rock song, and Gavin say this is the beginning of what the next Bush album will sound like.
