Absolute best piece from FILOSOFEM. Not only are the musical parts exceptionally composed (the Gregorian chants beginning at 1:11 make it stand out for me, I wish they were heavier throughout the entire piece. It gives it such an ambience that's just out of this fucking world) but the songwriting is brilliance as well. Varg has said "In plain words, the title simply means Looking at the stars."

@Grimert I listened on headphones and he/she might be right. But you could be right. If you are right and it is a guitar, it definitely isn't the main guitar. You can't have a fuzz pedal, especially back then, distort all strings but keep the low-e clean. You were sort of a music-tech hipster asshole to this person who likes the sound. It does sound like chanting... And if it is a guitar, so what? It's supposed to sound like a Viking horn or chant so I think that was accomplished?

I'm not sure how he keeps the rest of the world from invading using more advanced technology, but there is a sort of romanticist feeling in the idea of being returned to the old ways and rooted with the earth in small, moderately secluded communities of friendly neighbors.

It's possible to have some beef with the core tenets of Abrahamic beliefs and still admire the literature of some Christians, especially when that literature doesn't have much to do with their faith.

Just sort of like turning off your other senses and going with the flow of the music sure you might not understand what they say like me but you understand how they feel and what emotions and meanings they project to the audience.
