EXCELLENT song of Burl Ives', that's for sure.  Thanks for posting; lovely song, from the classic Rudolph special.  In some renditions of this song, you can hear birds singing, at around 1:06(as they decorate the Christmas tree, in the special, with silver and gold, no less!).  Just gives me goose bumps, every time, especially as it ends.  Burl indeed had one of the best tenor voices, for Christmas songs.

How I miss my good and happy CHRISTMASES, When all were alive n well, we would be sitting in the living room floor waitting for Burl Ives Christmas story, and my mom baking away , and making menudo mmmm. Id go to sleep at about 8pm knowing santa was comming. and id wake up at 4:30 am, had to wait till 6am for all to wake up, and my doggy Mr Murphy sitting right next to me :)

Burl Ives was my great uncle. From what I understand, he was a very nice man, aside from his dislike of children.

Was this neighbor living on the Island of BC. because this is where i was told were he passed away i was told he went into coma and never recovered. my mother lived on the Island and told me this.
