This is awesome! I didn't know Emma and Mel C of the Spice Girls made this song. That's 2/5 of the Spice Girls and 2/4 (1/2) of them at that point after Geri left. They were still working on their third album. Lots of unique pop songs on this album, including "Lullaby" by Mandah who later became known as Willa Ford (Amanda Williford).

It sounds typical of it's time (1999) and I love it! It even kind of sounds like "Candy" by Mandy Moore which was out at the same time as this album. Only this one has more rock guitar chord stabs, which is nice.

This soundtrack is... an odd selection. Not bad songs, per se, they just seem odd for Pokemon. On top of that I highly doubt any of these songs were inspired by The First Movie.

This cd had more A list artists at the time than a Now Thats What I Call Music cd

I've still got my original CD. I've got several digital copies, all ripped from the original. Still brings back memories. Been a pokemon fan from the beginning.

The Guy Nobody Really Likes I mean, let's be honest with ourselves here. objectively, they're not the best. they sound dated, use loops and artificial record skips too much, the lyrics are shallow and insipid, and have nothing to do with the movie. at all. but i totally like it as much as anyone else. nostalgic.

on ebay, the one you get in a case is going for 1,450.00. then the one that came with the movie is 40.00 for 3 of them.

those are probably PSA graded, they jack up those prices soooo much, but depending on the grading it could be flawless

Oh yeah. I still remember the line to get in to see it. I'm not kidding, the line was out the door and around the corner of the theater just for this film. I think I still have the Ancient Mew card somewhere in the garage in a card album.

Well, obviously they didn't get Crush 40, Bon Jovi or Michael Jackson, but that's beside the point. This is one of the most varied movie soundtracks I've ever seen.

Alex Shannon 4Kids and Saban felt like using contemporary artists because the dubbing companies think they can make money off of them. Even Dreamworks in their own films, while also adding classic songs that really have no purpose to be there. Compared to foreign soundtracks before they were dubbed, for the most part the soundtrack can feel like something you can recommend to a lot of people.
