I think this song goes well with Stephen King's Doctor Sleep, pgs 401-403(Abra vs Crow Daddy). Maybe that's just bc I happened to be on those pages when this came on but still....the intensity of the scene combined with the music....surprisingly effective in my opinion.

Bullet has always been my go-to band since I was 14... never let me down. This album is no different. Some people think that music is thrashing and head banging only, but that's a subjective opinion. Means absolutely nothing, because music is objective, the artist(s) put out what THEY feel and hope people like and that's the fact... if you do great, if not, move on go find another band that fits your style, but don't talk shit just because it doesn't tailor to your wants and needs.

Or you can stick with their older albums.

10 seconds in and this song got me in a sad mood. My favorite track of the album. If you guys read / watch interviews, Matt said he doesnt want to be in the band anymore because his divorce is tearing him apart since he also has his son Evan so the creation of this album GRAVITY is his emotional outlet as a person and as an artist. This is also the way of bullet trying out new things outside of their comfort zone. If you cant accept changes / evolution, you guys can always go back to older bullet albums or probably just move on. BFMV <3

Be aware if you are dealing with a type of Light Coma.

This album has been out for a few months now. This song easily takes the top spot for me because of its melodic sound. Over it, dont need you and leap of faith are the other high lights. Aside from that its meh, nothing special like how powerful venom was. Its not as boring as temper temper but cmon no guitar solos as well? Dont tell me that you dont need solos because that doesnt get in the way of making music. Aside from that, like i said before its a meh album not great or terrible. But if BFMV is truely proud of what they wrote then they still have my fullest respects as a musican. But please don't turn into chad Kroger and start saying dumb shit like how metal is dead. "Cough matt cough". Metal has never been dead, its evolved (gravity is Defiently an evolving metal album for instance even if its not a personal fave)

Well that describes me!

The hate for this album is so dumb. Yes, let's beg for the same song on every album so their future will Dragonforce 2.0 b/c everything sounds the EXACT SAME. People act like they didn't already experiment with softer styles already, refer to: "Say Goodnight (Scream Aim Fire)," "Bittersweet Memories (Fever)," and even "Venom" to name a few.

Saying they never had softer songs just shows ignorance of BFMV's history

Martin Everett You're not wrong when you say they have tried softer styles in the past, but it's not like any of those songs had any electronic effects to them.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy this album a lot and I do agree that the hate it gets is stupid, but your argument isn't very good. There are other criticisms of this record that don't make any sense to me. Such as:


"There's not a single scream." This obviously isn't true; you can clearly hear screaming in Over It and Piece of Me. You can also hear it in the final chorus of Letting You Go.

"All the songs sound the same." Okay, maybe I'm not paying enough attention to most of the instrumentals when I listen to this album in its entirety, but I really don't see how songs like The Very Last Time and Breathe Underwater sound like any other song on the record.

And finally, what's with the criticisms toward the lyrics? I've seen some people criticizing the lyrics to songs such as Letting You Go and Breathe Underwater. *cough cough* Christian Doyle *cough* ARTV even stated that in his opinion, they're trying so hard to be an "angsty teenage relatable band." Idiots like those people clearly haven't watched interviews of Matt stating that this was a very personal album to him. Besides, even if this album wasn't personal at all, I can definitely see adults relating to songs such as Don't Need You and Letting You Go if they were going through a rough breakup.
