Buddy Holly - Valley Of Tears Lyrics
I want you to me take me where I belong
Where hearts have been broken - with a kiss and a song
Spend the rest of my days dear - without any cares
Everyone understands me - in the valley of tears
But my mind is made up and I must go
Spend the rest of my days dear - without any cares
Everyone understands me - in the valley of tears

Buddy Holly Valley Of Tears Comments
I am an Elvis fanatic but also Buddy Holly fanatic Valley of Tears is a great song and I listen to it all summer after my wife and I separated in 2019
That kid could really sing. What a talent.
He did some great covers that rivaled or bettered the originals. I love Chuck Berry, but I think Buddy's version of Brown Eyed Handsome Man is quite a bit better than Chuck's, and his version ofReady Teddy sounds like a precursor to hard rock.
RIP Bobby logan watp
Was the Civil War necessary? Do we really need the South? We sure
do. Their musical heritage!

I like this version just as much as Fats Domino’s. But then, neither artist could do any wrong for me.

Love All Your Songs Buddy THANKS ❤ A True LEGEND.. ❤
In mijn Tienertijd was ik Lid van en Fanclub van Buddy Holly ! Samen met mijn vriendinnen luisterden we naar de muziek van Buddy Holly op een oude picubje met ons singeltjes in de tas ! Mooie herinneringen! Blijf ik koesteren !
Buddy holly and slim Whitmans versions are the best in my opinion
Love it. Buddy will live forever
Wow, unbelievable, didn't know this one of Buddy, what a beauty !!
All Hail the King of Rockabilly!!

I love this song.
Glenn Johnson AWESOME!What a giant he was.God bless ya Buddy.
Don't hear much organ music anymore. Reminds me of roller skating at Weymouth Landing many years ago.
McCoy stadium (Pawtucket Red Sox) in Rhode Island had one that sounded exactly like this.
@NaturallyNathalie2 ............. also the Boston Bruins back when.
Sands of time ....This is for you Mom, My hearts still broke. I think of you everyday.....I love you so much, I pray one day we will be together again forever in heaven
a perfect song to end a very short but groundbreaking, pioneering career
That ending!
Errol 007
Still brings tears to my eyes
Beautiful!
Every time I hear this, I wanna go to the skating rink . . .
Hermosa canción del finísimo panzón FATS DOMINO...
sic a tu comentario...
A truly iconic Buddy Holly song. The use of the organ complements the singing and lends a truly atmospheric sound to a good song.
I may of have not been alive in the 50's and 60's generation, but I can say that I love the music of this generation. I love the work and talent of Buddy Holly. He was a pioneer and was way ahead of his time. RIP 3
Buddy Holly along with all of these (Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry are among the few left) were and are one of the kind. Their music is timeless.
The pioneer's were Fats Domino. Bo Diddley, Clyde Mcphatter.
Great words Brandon ! Eddie Cochran one of America's finest too ...............
@Gilead Republic Little Richard is still with us.
Love this...... xxx
CHARLES HARDIN HOLLEY 1936 ;1959 THANK YOU 4 YOUR GREAT GREAT MUSIC AN RIP .

Fats Domino wrote the song and recorded it first.
fats domino song
someone's never heard a ballad.
Brenston did it in Rhythm & Blues, Bill Haley and the Comets did it as a true rock and roll song...., Hail, Hail, Ike Turner....
Buddy I think.
Haha!
You're welcome!
Buddy's THE BEST! :)
Without the internet, i wouldnt discover this magnificent music! Thank you internet! And the uploader of course :P
slim whitman also sang this song who sang it first ??
waynelac Fats Domino is the composer of this beautiful tune, he sang it first, to my knowledge buddy then covered it amongst other artists including slim Whitman, Brook Benton and Brenda Lee
(to continue my post below)..If you look at these crashes, they seem to occur like there is no pilot. For example Buddys crash, the plane takes off and immediately crashes like the pilot jumped out. Same with Stevie Ray Vaughn, the helicopter crashes into the side of mountain. How can an experienced pilot in that area not know about a mountain? Or Jim Croces crash, the pilot clips a tree. It's like the pilots weren't there, and it's because they weren't focusing.
There's a theory why so many greats are killed in plane crashes, car crashes, and it's because the pilots/drivers get star struck and lose focus on what they are doing. I think that is exactly true. I use to drive a cab in New York city and I found out that is exactly what happened to me. Like one time I picked up Bruce Willis and he yelled at me because I was missing turns, it's because I wasn't focusing. You meet a major star you can't believe it, it messes up your focus.
One of my favourites of Buddy - along with Because I love you. To be truthful, Buddy did very few bad records, and so many, many beautiful ones. Thanks for helping to keep his memory alive. Les.
amazing to think that he was 20 or 21 years old when he wrote that song. his entire career was 18 months. what influence he had on so many people.
Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew wrote it, Fats recorded it in '57. Hard to beat Buddy's or Fats' versions. The Soweto Gospel Choir has recorded it. Also Solomon Burke. A beautiful song.
You're welcome and Thank you! :)
Glad you like! :D
Why did he have to go so early? Now I never got to know him. Except for the songs he left us.
I guess I should be happy he was able to do that. Thank you for the uploads! I subscribed to you because of your Buddy uploads.
Thanks a bunch!
WHAT A GREAT VERSION OF THE FAT MAN'S CLASSIC. EVEN NOW I MISS BUDDY SO MUCH. THE THREE THAT DIED WOULD HAVE PRODUCED SO MANY GRAND WORKS. THEY WOULD HAVE ELEVATED ROCK/ROLL TO ITS HIGHTEST PEAK AND THEN SOME
SLIM WHITMAN SANG THIS SONG YEARS BEFORE BUDDY I LIKE SLIM SINGER IT BETTER
TOM WALLY I'm sorry, but your statement is incorrect.. Slim Whitman covered it after Buddy Holly as Buddy was the first person to cover and release this song after Fats Domino wrote and recorded this song.. Not to take away the vocal prowess Slim Whitman takes to his cover of this gem of a song
I cant believe how buddy could have reccrded so many timeless classics at such a young age maybee im gettin old!!!! a total musical hero a hero of mine anyway my mum and dad listned to buddy as i was a chlid fond memories i wish i could dance like them !!! Peace and love buddy your music will live on for a very long time
HE WAS SO TALENTED SUCH A LOSS SO YOUNG!!
My favorite part of the song is the last few notes in the end....it's so peaceful and sweet.
Apparently my buddy holly Tribute video contains this music. youtube is soo mistaken.
Ikr XD
@DramaIama even sucks at trolling
it appeared on his solo lp('58) ''Buddy Holly''
Beautiful blues based country song. Written by Fats Domino, who recorded it first. This song of course asks a major question - Buddy Holly would have been a major country star after rock 'n' roll era.
It is country.
Thanks! :) You're welcome :) Glad you like! :p
Hi Your welcome ,I have subbed you , please do same if you like my Channel ! ~ Arthur

Thanks, Amy, I'm glad that I finally found this one. I really liked it.
I really think that Dramalama has the wood for Buddy and that he has a very weird way of showing it :-}
RetroGurl, don't let this shitheel, Dramalama, yank your chain. He is obviously some devolved, twisted nothing who just wants to stir the shit. Besides he doesn't even have the intelligence to know good music when he hears it, pity him.
