Buddy Holly - Rave On Lyrics
Well, the little things you say and do
Make me want to be with you-ou-ou
Rave on, it's a crazy feelin'
And I know it's got me reelin'
When you say I love you
The way you dance and hold me tight
The way you kiss and say good ni-i-ight
Rave on, it's a crazy feelin'
And I know it's got me reelin'
When you say I love you
Rave on
Well, rave on, it's a crazy feelin'
And I know it's got me reelin'
Rave on, rave on and tell me
Tell me not to be lonely
Tell me you love me only
Rave on to me
Well, rave on, it's a crazy feelin'
And I know it's got me reelin'
I'm so glad that you're revealin' your love for me
Rave on, rave on and tell me
Tell me not to be lonely
Tell me you love me only
Rave on to me

Great,Thabks
I was really messed up as a kid but when I found my Dad's Buddy Holly record it got me through it all
Buddy Holly wrote better songs, by his age, than anybody else; The Beatles, Dylan, Stones....All of em. By 21 he was a superstar and a sublime songwriter. Such a shame we did not see him develop.
The best we we're blessed with great music of all time

Rave on!
The real king of rock n roll! Elvis was media driven! Didn't write a song, couldn't even play a guitar, but was handsome as hell which goes far in show biz!
Love this song!!!!!!!!!! My favorite of all songs in the world.
Marvelousmusicforromancethanksalot
If you listen to any rockabilly riffs be it the late 50's early 60 s the Cramps Brian Setzer in the early 80's or Tiger Armys Psycho Billy style the music def did not die that night... the progression may have been interrupted but this style of early rock and roll will have its influence for generations to come
A hell of a legend.
I was going out with someone years ago and he took me to the show in London The Buddy Holly story. It was upsetting seeing how he passed away.He was still young
beautiful song
Forget Buddy Holly? That’ll be the day
I can not find it now, I am responding to a post that called the Big Bopper a won hit wonder with a novelty song. #1 Bad Taste, #2 wrote Running Bear, and White Lightning, #3 did three music videos, for a video jukebox he was building, 20+ years before MTV. Sounds like good credentials to me.
This is pure Rock & Roll
Essa música e dimais amooooooo
Eterno BUDDY HOLLY
Here is the Sonny West original... Not the same Sonny West as Elvis' bodyguard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RYKOtKkY3I

I've never seen or heard a more influenced musical artist than Mr Buddy Holly!

The only thing that isn't from the 50's is the damn gas prices.
Right on Clifton.I was 17 in 58.was IN a little rock band in 59.I remember we all sat round with guitars and had a wake when he died.First tune I ever learned to play on guitar was Peggy Sue.

Happy 83rd. B-day Buddy Holly. 9/7/1936. 9/7/ 2019
I like the piano solo. Who played it?
Buddy was pretty fly for a white guy, and had a knack for writing a catchy song, I love the story of when Buddy got to meet Elvis his idol, before he made the Crickets. He got back stage and ended up jamming with Elvis, and said he hopes soon to be good enough to have a band a record an album and Elvis told him he was ready now
As a committed dance music fan who does not like guitars or bands I still rate this as one of my all time favourite tunes.
Oldies 4ever!
My jaws ache from grinning, and my eyes sting with tears and memories. . .
When music was music...
the day the music died : RIP

This is my first time listening to Buddy Holly. I'm 18, I've been a fan of this era of music (50s-60s) for basically all my life, but this is the first time I've heard any of Holly's records. Can say, I'm pleasantly unsurprised, always heard good things about him, and they've been confirmed right.
Some songs will freeze you when you first hear them. You wonder how the artist[s] managed to create the original magic, and your mind reels at each innovative turn. Elvis did that to millions, when they had their first exposure. For me it was I FORGOT TO REMEMBER. EP was correct; nobody sang like him, and while I was attempting to comprehend what he was doing with his amazing voice, Scotty hit me with that fantastic guitar break. It was a uniquely pleasant experience from 64 years ago, that I will never forget!!
Buddy and his little band have frozen millions with this masterpiece, in the same way. The wonder is that it wasn't appreciated more in its own day.
Awesome song! RIP forever Buddy Holly. Truly one of rock and roll's greatest musicians.
Bad choice in an unqualified (night & IFR) pilot, who (foolishly) took off into a blizzard, with a completely predictable result. Today, that charter operator, who owned the plane and sent the unqualified kid to fly it, would be charged with negligent homicide and sent to prison. He probably didn't bother to CALCULATE (like we military pilots did, for EVERY flight) the weight & balance, either, according to the accident investigation.
Yet, today's dumb-a___ pot-heads are all gleeful about "let's get high" and "have a toke." Sheer dumb-a___-es. They are living dumb, and will reap the consequences. Don't fog up your brain with drugs, kids. It's the only brain that you are going to have ... for all of your life.
When we hear this great music and Buddy Holly it is just not possible he is no longer in this world.RIP Buddy
He's such a powerful guy.
there is only one king of rock and roll. and his name is NOT Elvis. (He) was not a song writer nor was he a composer Elvis was an entertainer not a musician like buddy holly
No Buddy, No Beatles, No Oasis in fact no Buddy, No Rock he was the catalyst it's as simple as that.
261 don't like this. i hope they seek professional help!

Super sonic!!!
hi there only one buy h well Don buy h we all love your mucie and I'll all ways remember you with a tear in my eye r I P
The best of all the rockabilly songsters totally!
Buddy would have become one of the great singer-songwriters of the age, driving music forward but may have been swayed by lucrative Las Vegas deals. He was a genius and without him we'd never have had the Beatles etc but he also had some significant business acumen and may have decided to follow the money, especially once a young family came along.
We can only speculate, but what we do know is that he was a rare treasure and genius and had he lived music would be very different today and his influence could have been even more profound.
I tend not to compare him with the rock 'n' roll and subsequent rock singers of the age. I believe he was more up there with the likes of Miles Davis, exploring, experimenting, pushing the boundaries, finding new borders, and taking chances wherever he could see something good.
Killer then and killer now
Really like Buddy Holly.
2019? R.I.P buddy gone but never forgotten 🎸🎤🎶
If Buddy didn’t die at such a young age, there’s a good chance he could’ve been bigger than Elvis.
LOVED playin; this on my radio show today!
22nd June 2019 still listening. Lol.
Buddy was my papaws favorite artist. In fact when my grandma and papaw first met he went to the jukebox and picked 3 buddy holly songs

its 2019, im 35 years old, still one of the greatest singers I've ever heard
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Atticus Finch?
brilliant song
Well this song has even more meaning when he has sadly passed away
This is music that never needs to die
you can hear the future Beatles in his songs cant you?
What happens when a non-IFR-rated pilot takes off at night into a blizzard. Never should have happened.
Yes this is what stood behind the tragedy. The pilot was not experienced enough to fly that type of aircraft at nighttime in total darkness, relying only on the navigation - in such a terrible weather. So incredibly sad that this tragedy could have been prevented :{{{{{{{{{{{{{{
@Caress of Stars I am an experienced military pilot. Today, that fixed-base charter operator (who sent the kid pilot out) would be brought up on criminal charges. Negligence and other charges. Probably sent to prison.
@David B WOW! What types do you fly - or used to fly?
Yes this is what I wondered about: wasn't there any lawsuit or anything about the responsibility of the charter operator?
@Caress of Stars No.. In that day, no one was held responsible. Even reporters glossed over it. Read them. I have.
His guitar licks still sound good! So young to have composed forever classics.
Buddy's music will not fade away.
Adorable song love this Rave On Buddy Holly,, thank you , you tube
Buddy Holly had a really good voice for rock music imo. In fact I can honestly see his voice making it in todays more modern rock
Wow...nice number...still in 2019!!!
It's " King Buddy Holly" in my opinion.
