The overdubs are annoying. I have all the undubbed 1 track recording on CD. Much better all the "bum bum" crap and unknown guitar garbage ruins the song.

Sometimes less is more. Once you hear the recordings as Buddy did all that junk they added after his death is annoying.
The apartment tapes are great. Hearing the bacon and eggs cooking and the phone ringing is a treat.
Buddy died ten years before I was born. I have everything he recorded.
Similar to myself...I was born 11 years after Buddy died, i started listening to him from the age of 15, my mum had The Everly Brothers & Eddie Cochran LPs, i got into that pretty quickly, especially Eddie Cochran, around that time there was a BBC documentary about Buddy...I was immediately hooked!..About a year later i bought a vinyl box-set with my 1st wage packet, it cost about £25.00...I still have it to this day!..These days I'm buying original 1950s Coral/Brunswick records...But i can't stop listening to his undubbed apartment tapes on CD, it feels like he's in the same room!

Love this song, Then again there isn't a song of Buddy's I don't like. I don't think he made any bad songs. He was a genius. God how I wish he would not have gotten on that plane.
This guys recording career only lasted a year and a half. Is that insane or what? And look at the huge amount of stuff he recorded, to this day 56 years after his death I'm still finding songs of his I never heard before.

I can only imagine what kind of stuff he would have come out with had he lived till now... Would he have collaborated with the Beach Boy's? The Beatles? Elvis, Jerry Lee, Cash, etc....
