Buddy Guy - You Did The Crime Lyrics
You lied and you cheated
Girl, there's no excuse
That's criminal behavior
But you still only lose
But I'm the one doin' the time
Spend the rest of my life
Without you in these arms of mine
Guilt in your heart
Gult in your soul
But the joys of love
Give me life without parole
You did the crime
Spend the rest of my life
Without you in these arms of mine (What a shame)
(Yeah)
(Oh, shoot)
Cold-hearted lover
In the first degree
You got away with murder
And I'll never be free
You did the crime
But I'm the one doin' the time (Without you)
Spend the rest of my life
Without you in these arms of mine
That's a hard pill to swallow

Seen him last night at Summerfest.com

Had never heard of Buddy Guy until I bought a superb Martin Buddy Guy signature accoustic with turquoise polka dots on the fretboard. Look forward to discovering Buddy's music.
So who is this Jagger bloke? Did he play double base for Peter Paul & Mary or was he an actor who once played Aussie bushranger, Ned Kelly?
You ask, "who is this bloke Mick Jagger?"
Son, he is the greatest frontman that ever lived.
Still a powerful singer at 75 years old.
He's VERY dedicated, takes great care of his voice, and fantastic care of himself.
He gives his ALL and then some in every concert.
That's who Mick Jagger is.
I think that was ironic.
I could be wrong, tho -- I often am.
I'm used to it.
Perfection. Thank you, thank you, thank you Buddy Guy. 🌹🌹🎈🎶🎶🎉🌹😙And the other guys in there 😊
Yeaaaaah buddy ! I feel this one 💗
Thumbs down on your crap music losers
I'm Digging that piano back there. Nice touch
I needed this album, his music.
EXCELLENT!! What a treat!!! THANK YOU!
I did not do a Crime, Buddy Guy!
Some of Micks early harp was a bit basic and rough but as soon as this track started my first though was 'Who *is* that harp player?' Impressed.
The biggest crime I've done was to put G.I. Joes nose in their own shit, otherwise nobody would care. I've heard of a knife fight with workers in Iowa but this is unheard of in your little narative. If you want to talk about crimes ask all the southern pricks site supervisor about all the working accident with Mexicans and Brazilian workers because of shear exhaustion. Those lectures wont come from my ''uncles'' that I've haven't heard of for the past 35 years just because they are jurikin off on the big block V8 nostalgy with other the americans.

Makes my soul jump and shout.
💓💓🐔💃🐔💃🐔💃🎸🕵🕵😎🤘awesome
Excellent song. The harmonica says so much. Intense. Than you.🦆
"You get the real Mick Jagger when he plays harmonica." -- Keith Richards
Damn right if Keith don't know nobody does and not to mention his hunky tonk harp skills are as fine as anybody's on earth!
Brian Jones taught Mick how to play. Says a lot about Brian.
Kudos to Mick stepping into the big shoes of Junior Wells and Little Walter to play up a storm with Buddy.
Another classic! I know I'm doin the time.
if jagger isn't singing i lose interst
thank god he was decent enough to shut up and just play here
Buddy is almost the last one left!!!
Damn Fine Blues!

Here is what I can tell you the blues got nothing on Buddy
Uncredible duet!
Bought my copy today! From Oklahoma!
Buddy sounds better than ever. God made one of him and broke the mold
So good👌🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mick Jagger is one of the greatest harp players in the world!
If keith says it...
I was just thinking the same.
He learned it all from Junior Wells
Oh and maybe some Little Walter. He does ok. IMO
Sorry people but I think you're giving Mick a little too much credit.
It's a shame "feat: Mick Jagger" means he's on harmonica...oh dear.
Far from average. You don't get asked by the greatest musicians to play if u r sub par...dummy up!
The music business is a BUSINESS! Mick Jagger, although a sub-par harmonica player, has great name recognition and, thus, would help to sell a new CD. ( As a harmonica player for over 30 years, I consider myself sub-par; I know what a sub-par harmonica sounds like! ) Fame does not equal talent! If fame equaled talent then Stevie Nicks, Frank Sinatra, Kayne West, and Axl Rose actually could sing. Baliscotsurf, leave my music alone and concern yourself with the music of your own generation: Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Lil' Wayne, Iggy Azalea, etc. ( I bet you would not even recognize Lee Oskar if he came to your door with a delivery from Quicksilver Messenger Service! )
You are absolutely right. You are sub par, esp your attitude about music
You can add Kim wilson, Jerry Portnoy & a bunch of blowing gentlemen.
@Burkhold St. Rudderberg average? Nah. I don't think so. a lot of my friends play harmonica, but they don't sound as good as him in this song.
~Smokin blues!!...Luv to u all~~Kisses mick!!!!!!!
38 sec ... liked
Oh my! Love that! Amazing!
😘👍
Amazing track featuring two legends of music. Fantastic tune from Buddy Guy & Mick Jagger.
Gorgeous harp playing from Mick Jagger. When you have him as a sideman in your band, that's about the greatest.
We come and go but the #Blues will never die.
Yeah he's probably one of the greatest harp players out there
If you haven’t already, check out the Stones’ album Blue & Lonesome. Mick sings and plays the harmonica; it’s a damn good blues album.
I am sooooo buying this album!!! Beautiful blues. Appreciate Buddy Guy while he is still with us.
BLUES BROTHERS
awesome !!
Damn right I’m proud to have given the 100th 👍🏼.. 🎶🎸
I had the pleasure of watching your show in Brazil. Thank you Mr. Budddy, unforgettable. Blues forever!
We have just 2 great Legend still alive
Eric Clapton & Buddy guy
Clapton? He sold his soul to commerciality in the early 70's and his playing went down hill. I absolutely love him up to 1970 and that legend will never die. Just my opinion of course . . .
Lazy Lester
What about Carl Weathersby?
@Dr. Oll not as legend as buddy tho. they're one generation younger. buddy is the only one left in his generation, who still making blues that sounds as pure as in the past.
What about Keith Richards ?? He is a legend. Never forget that.
great blues...........great Buddy Guy......
