Buddy Guy - When The Time Is Right Lyrics
You've already drawn your boundary
Afraid to cross the line
But one of these days
When your heart stops crying
You're gonna need somebody
I'm gonna sneak up on you baby
Oh when the time is right
You wanna play the feel
Playing hard to get
But even an illusive butterfly
Winds up in the net
You know it's true
You know you can't deny it
Oh I'm gonna sneak up on you baby
Won't you take the bait
I'm gonna set the hook
You might wiggle and shake
But you know your goose is cooked
Could be tomorrow
Might be tonight
Sooner or later
You know you're gonna bite
You're still afraid to make the big leap
Worried about the water being too deep
Trust your love
Cause your heart will tell you so
I know you will give up the fight
Oh when the time is right
I'm gonna make you mine
Oh when the time is right
I'm gonna make you mine
Hey when the time is right

The bassist is none other than Jack Bruce, lead singer for the mighty Cream with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker.

The bassist is arguably the most famous person in this lineup! That's Jack Bruce. The lead singer of Cream!haha No harm no foul though, I forget that sort of stuff all the time!
Buddy was also in American Flag with Mike Bloomfield, circa 1968
this is real fantastic again woh needs no words he is so good.
One stupid forever alone disliked this.
did they know how amazing their music was at the time or did they just think it was alright at the time?
It was the norm, they lived in a world with graceful music
that is one high drummer at 0:36
holy shit and Jack on bass
this is deep i think its better than the studio version,c ive got a problem called analogue vinyl cravings,i fight 2 keep this format alive,1 its the only format capable of telling musical history as it really was,2 its how the musicians intended it 2 b heard,3,analogue vinyl is the most sonically complete format this world has ever known, with topend midrange n bottomend all hitting u with totally separate sound levels thru out,the compressed 2 midrange only of digital tech in truely inferior
no one likes digital. The elite doesn't want us to heal through music .-
Woo! Great stuff!!
As do I... I've scoured YouTube for vintage Buddy Guy videos (I'm talking his Chess days), but I could only find a couple things, like the when he played with one of the European Folk and Blues Festivals. But nothing from his notorious wild club days. I guess no one thought he was famous enough to spend their precious film!
It's gotta take a real asshole to dislike this clip. Such a fantastic vocal presence. I wish there was more early Buddy Guy available.
Long live the Blues and long live Rock 'n Roll!!!
so true, so true - @weischamp
Damn, this is the first time I've seen footage of young buddy guy action. effortlessly cool in blue suit, fender, afro and boy can he sing and play the blues. raw as it gets.
it takes real balls to take a vocal on that stage. you got buddy guy, buddy miles, and jack bruce...
aghhhhhhhhhh, cant explain my feeling now
Jack Bruce--sympathetic and right on the money.
Dick Heckstall-Smith on Tenor?
holy sh*t....it must have been a miracle that the stage didn´t collapse due to awesomeness........
