Buckley, Jeff - The Other Woman Lyrics
The other woman finds time to manicure her nails
The other woman is perfect where her rival fails
And she's never seen with pin curls in her hair
The other woman enchants her clothes with french perfume
There are never toys that's scattered everywhere
And when her baby comes to call
He'll find her waiting like a lonesome queen
Cause when she's by his side
It's such a change from old routine
But the other woman will always cry herself to sleep
The other woman will never have his love to keep
And as the years go by the other woman

Buckley, Jeff The Other Woman Comments
His version and Nina's are the only ones I need.
I also adore lana del rey's version
Lana's version may not be the original, but it's the best version
Nope...Lana version is not great
🔥❤
Fantastic!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Just Beautiful
My goosebumps have goosebumps, SOOOOOOOOOO beautiful and soft.
His voice makes my soul vibrate.
I noticed he covers a lot of Nina Simone. Only deep thinkers can keep up with Nina Simone--complicated people. Not knowing your father (or other traumas) can make people complicated.
Omg what a talent that was! He is so missed
💕💕💕 Cada vez que descubro un registro de este magnífico ser, oh amado Jeff gracias infinitas gracias 💕💕💕
Sorry folks this song should never be sang by a male even if they have a good voice. It sounds false like a fish outta water
WHAT THE F , this is so good .. i’m crying .
Beautiful
Typical Lana goes from her highest to her deepest note in a sec, probably because this man inspired her.
She has listed Nina Simone and Jeff as some of her biggest influences.
The other woman finds time to manicure her nails
The other woman is perfect where her rival fails
And she's never seen with pin curls in her hair
The other woman enchants her clothes with french perfume
The other woman keeps fresh cut flowers in each room
There are never toys that's scattered everywhere
And when her baby comes to call
He'll find her waiting like a lonesome queen
Cause when she's by his side
It's such a change from old routine
But the other woman will always cry herself to sleep
The other woman will never have his love to keep
And as the years go by the other woman
Will spend her life alone
2:15 o_O
Can someone remix it, so it's a mix of Lana, jeff and Nina? That would be amazing
i love you
song and man
Sublime. T x
his voice just makes me feel so protected
Nice. Really nice.
This is sooooooooooo good, beautiful 💞
Nina, Lana and Him ❤️❤️❤️
Perfect.
Perfection.
Nina Simone, she taught us all how to interpret this song... Good Job JEFF.
Beautiful <3
lana del rey brung the sadness, jeff brung the chill vide, nina brung the elder feel to the song.
kel mccauley Nicely Put. 💋 T x
kel mccauley Fucking A, and Music 🎶 Appreciation carries No Rules! 💋 T x
kelton mccauley : your momma.
This is not "chill". This is haunting.
1. Jeff Buckley 2. Nina Simone
reverse that now! Nina is the best!
Check out Lana Del Rey's. It's 100x better
you like that voice nd 20 insruments all at the same time to back it up?
I'm in tears.
Breathtaking....
too down for that ending
Nina simone... lana del rey and this... are amazing the 3 versions...
holy trinity
this version made me cry
Nina Simone would be proud.
@Jan emmanuel Lim Nina Simone AND Sarah Vaughan would be both proud of him!
Andy Wallace set that mini studio "with the always plugged innTelecaster "up at Bearsville so Jeff could do this otherworldly stuff. Amazing.
It felt very natural, and raw. Talent will out. T x
1.nina simone
2.lana del rey
3.jeff
theres levels to this song boi
@Ngure Njoroge Anne Sofie Von Otter - that version is breathtakingly beautiful
@James Ryan agree! but i'm shocked at jeff here. WOW!
@Ngure Njoroge Jeff's version is incredible.. 1 Nina 2 Jeff 3 Sarah Vaughan
sheet, lana del rey version is sooo better
@gina x the other woman finds time to manicure her songs
She sounds bored. Stop smokin crack, son!
You sound mad.
Jeff Buckley it's better.
1:02 That short trill always gives me chills.
Stinkyfinger agreed, that section for me is one of the most amazing things he ever sung
I first heard this song sang by Lana Del Reys and thought what a nice strong song. Then I saw Jeff Buckley. Had a recording and this song became a wonderful song, his voice is pure heaven the tone is wonderful. I checked a few different singers who have covered this song but for me Jeff Buckley's one is the best.
I'm quite fond of this version too! I like the original too, by Nina Simone.
Nina Simone's is not the original...
I've heard the three versions too, and I think Lana puts context to the song, counting on the fact that most of her songs are relatable to the same themes... I like Nina's and Jeff's version, but I think Lana's the more accurate version.
@Martin Dyson Lana's version brings more emotion into it, this version is good. But not better than Nina's or Lana's. Lana put vocals into that song.
I agree.
I cant believe im sating this!! but this is better than nina simone just friggin beautiful
although you can hear the influence of her in his rendition that's ok though
@philly baby youre right I listened to it again and hes trying to hard to sound like nina guess I broke the crack habit eh/ lol
+daniel klodt not true. He respected her & no need to copy. He uses that singing style in countless covers.
@elevenart so to sum up what you've said more clearly - he's made a CAREER out of imitating nina simones singing style on countless songs and covers.
@daniel klodt welcome aboard, crack kills. :)
@philly baby
yawn. It's ok that ur clueless, doesn't matter. Ciaociao
Wonderful! I've always loved this song. I love it more listening to this :o)
one of my favorites
the room he was singing in is perfect, the echo is awesome!
It's the reverb mostly, not the room
It was the side room up at Bearsville in Woodstock, NY. Andy Wallace set the room up because he knew this was gonna happen.
♥ ♫ ♥ ♫ ♥ wonderful ,thank you
