Buck Owens - I Don't Hear You Lyrics

I hear the bluebirds singing,
I hear the robins too
I hear the church bells ringing
But I don't hear you.

I see little things marked his and hers
A constant reminder we're through
I hear the rain on my window
But I don't hear you.

[Instrumental]

I hear the children playing
I hear the clock striking two
I hear the mailman whistling
But I don't hear you.

I see little things marked his and hers
A constant reminder we're through
I hear the rain on my window
But I don't hear you.

Oh, but I don't hear you...

I remember coming home after school in Oregon in 1966-67 and lying on my bed listening to this music by Buck Owen. Loved the pedal steel guitar sound but didn't know its name. My Dad and I were huge fans.

Don Rich made the bucaroos, the guy singing harmony with buck it's a shame his life ended TO SOON for him to spread his wings I THINK HE WAS

No one was better than BUCK OWENS

    Buck Owens cannot be matched

Buck taught Don how to play the guitar. So if Don ended up as good as he was that says something about Buck as a musician too!

IMO Buck had the best golden years late 50s to the 60s. The Buckaroos were just fabulous. Amazing musicians each one. Don Rich of course led the band. Also harmonized with Buck second to none. mos60

Listen to the drums. Willie Cantu probably. But it was Mel Taylor (Ventures fame) who introduced Willie to the type of tempo played. This really made Buck's band stand out from other country singers. mos60

Is Doyle Holly the bassist in this take?

Bob Morris played bass on this one.

    m.... ....

This is Tom Brumley. Unmistakeable. The only song on this album not Tom or Moon is "Truck Drivin' Man", steeled by Jay MacDonald.
