  1. A.... P....

    Thank you truckdriver1964 you're awesome

  2. A.... F....

this is sooo good why didn't the get the airplay back then, it deserves .......?????

  3. D.... M....

The opening riff sounds like "Ma-Ma-Ma Belle" by ELO.

    D.... M....

Yes, it does. But this song just plain flipping rocks! Better than Twenty One Pilots.

  4. B.... S....

Good song but doesn't have a BTO vibe !

    B.... S....

This sounds just like something BTO would record, imho.

  5. L.... C....

So cool! That’s the spirit of the Trucker’s lifestile🤘🏼🤪

  6. B.... V....

Would like to hear if Randy ever did this song with Bto ?

    B.... V....

To the best of my knowledge Randy never did any of the songs off the Street Action & Rock N Roll Nights albums.

  7. M.... D....

I saw them 5/7/78 opening for Alice Cooper at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana. Full house of 18,000 and they blew the roof off the joint. Fred was on rhythm gtr (a white Strat) and Jim Clench was on bass. They played Madison Avenue. There was a skinny guy on woodwinds and keyboards.

  8. p.... c....

    92 on the Cashbox charts.

    p.... c....

And it nearly missed the Billboard Hot 100. #1 on the Bubbling Under singles.

  9. P.... C....

Is Aristocratic Chicken Feast still there on Granville St.?

  10. V.... F....

    O ROCK PERFEITTO!

  11. R.... S....

April Wine or BTO, I love Jim Clench voice.

    R.... S....

    +Roger Slemer I totally agree.

  12. b.... ....

The album cover work is a bona fide masterpiece. What a hot chick on the cover (OMG...those gams on her!). You'd think that pleasant site alone would help the album sell more copies. But the album itself got as high as #130 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. This was a very minor hit that "bubbled under" the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart.

  13. t.... ....

wasn't jim clench from april wine

    t.... ....

    @tbone83501 that was later

    t.... ....

    71 to 75 as well.

  14. t.... ....

+tbone83501 "Down The Road" is on the 2 disc set "BTO: Gold" which I purchased from Barnes and Noble online for $9.99 plus a 20% BN Membership discount coupon (BN Members get FREE S&H with no minimum purchase although it's subject to change.)

  15. 1.... ....

I would have told them the same thing, truckdriver1964! Just saw Robin, Blair, Fred & Randy on the Junos. Wish they would've played one.

  16. l.... ....

This song just fricken motivates me so much....don't you try to shoot me down, don't intend to stick around.

  17. A.... ....

The Jim Clench era has a lot of gems, like this one. I really like his singing voice too.

    A.... ....

I loved his voice. I think the purists under estimate him as a vocalist. I think both albums are very good, and R&R Nights is actually me favorite album by the band in general. I got to meet the band several times. They always felt the last 2 albums were the worst ones they made. But I told them, I love them. Made then smile, and that was all that mattered.

  18. D.... P....

This is a great song. I remember hearing it on CKLW when this album came out.

    D.... P....

Wow, surprised they would play this. It wasn't really a hit. It may have been because the band members are Canadian. I have not been to Detroit/Windsor since 1991, but I heard CKLW is gone.

    D.... P....

@libertarianation1 It was a hit -- for a good two weeks! That's as long as a punk kid like me could make 50 requests each hour!

    D.... P....

@libertarianation1 CKLW changed from Top 40 to Adult Standards/Easy Listening 3 decades ago. It's now nothing but a talk radio/non-music format.

  19. 1.... ....

Thanks truckdriver1964, been looking for this one for a long time; Got no time for no candy-ass!(Jim Clench)
