First of all, this man can sing! But, what I want to talk about here is something that is no longer found in much of today's recorded music. I'm talking about orchestration. The blending together of various instruments, vocalists, and the music, itself. This song, in my opinion, is one of the most beautifully orchestrated piece of music, ever recorded. Just take-in the blending of Peabo's lead-vocals, with the background singers. Then, add in the instrumentation, as it glides through the piece.

So TRUE!!

"But I don't know who I am!" love the passionate way he expresses that line. And in all his work. Best balladeer ever.

I've always love jazzy bluesy essence of Peabo.

I would almost say this is one of the most meaning for song I have every heard in life. It was great when I was a teenager and even better now...so glad I found it.

LIKE simply isn't a strong enough sentiment when it comes to this song. Wow...What a STRONG and beautiful song. This is probably the first song I ever heard by Peabo Bryson and I still say it's his best. By the end of the song, every time I hear it, I'm ready to stand up and testify, all over again, yeah "I BEEN THERE BEFORE", They just don't make music like this anymore. THANK YOU PEABO for this wonderful ballad.

Have always (and will continue to be) a big-fan of Peabo's work. But, what I like most, from this particular recording, is the absolutely fantastic instrumentation, in the background. Being a former studio musician, myself, this music is just pure magic. Listen to the chord phrasings, and the strings. Beautiful.

I've loved Peabo since Just Another Day was first played. I think I played the grooves out of this LP too! He was one of the most slept on brothers. Sad to say that Disney came along to make him better known! The passion in his voice is unmatched!
