I never knew love had such a potent effect. Tears are just unfulfilled stories. Mickey is transcendent in this understated role as the Wrestler. This song reminds me of my dad. He lived as a fireman now he’s reduced to a 1/2 his body.

This is seriously one of my favorite movies of all time that was made to be genuine from the heart.. my best friend Andrew died and we used to watch this movie and quote it so much and when we felt miserable during hard times he would pick up his left handed acoustic and play this for me.. this song is really special to me I was born with spinal cancer and have been in my wheelchair my whole live still fighting to live on my own in life rolling all over town on my own.. this song reminds me of what it is to feel the american spirit and heart from a real legend.. I'm crying now of joy

I’ve been a die hard Bruce fan for maybe 10 years now. I’m 23 and I feel as if I know every possible song by Bruce Springsteen and have listened to them all 100+ times. I listen to him 24/7. While driving in the car, while eating, while going to bed, while walking to class, and...in class (lol). Yet I still find myself finding a new song once every few months that I absolutely love. This time it is this song!

There’s no doubt this should have won an Oscar for best original song. To think it wasn’t even nominated, he got screwed big time. Actually, I heard recently for a song to be nominated it has to play during the movie and this played over the final credits only. If this is the case, this is such a bunch of crap. This was easily the best song of the year in any movie. I wouldn’t watch the Academy Awards right now if you paid me because they are so political and pretty much a joke.

Mickey Rourke was amazing in this movie and Marisa Tomei was so sexy and damn beautiful it almost hurts just to watch her man:(

My brother passed away in 2012 when he was 16 and at the time this was his most favorite song. Ive only just come around to being able to listen to this song with a smile remembering him. I will always hold a special place in my heart for this song.

Just went to a classic impact wrestling match last night where Sid Vicious made an appearance and came home and watched this movie and it really opens everything up and you see that these men are really doing what they enjoy and that it is a way of life for them. They are an incredible inspiration and it so motivating that they can keep going like that. It’s just so incredible how tough these men are.
