This version is so much better than The River one. I'm an 18 year old guy and a long time Sprignsteen fan but I heard this for the first time properly last night at 3am. As soon as the verse hit about the letters he wrote I literally broke down into a mess of tears. Such a great, truthful and wise song; especially considering he must've been, what, 27/28 when he wrote this? Incredible
