Bruce Dickinson - Confeos Lyrics

Story of one strange night in Japan...

In the smoky haze, she was dancing free
Should've ordered one but I ordered three
Then I watched the room, and it was dancing too
So I ordered four and I hit the floor

On the count of five, I was still alive
At the stroke of six, I picked a drink to mix
At the stroke of seven, I fell out of heaven
As the clock struck eight, I felt the hand of fate

You're in the spotlight
And I'm running out of time
You're in the spotlight
The wheels of your life starts now

Tell me what sin was on your mind, yeah
May I approach from behind, yeah
Tell me what sin was on your mind, yeah
Start confessing to your crimes, yeah

Well, I tried to come but I was already there
Did I arrive too soon? Well better late than never
When I come again, you will know it's time
Cause I have to go to catch another rhyme

Things are getting tight, maybe one more stroke
Any last words from the fiery folk

You're in the spotlight
And I'm running out of time
You're in the spotlight
The wheels of your life starts now

Tell me what sin is on your mind, yeah
May I approach from behind, yeah
Start confessing to your crimes, yeah
Tell me what sin is on your mind, yeah

Now the wheels of life goes rolling on, into the sun
Now the wheels of life goes rolling on, we roll as one

Tell me what sin is on your mind, yeah
Start confessing to your crimes, yeah
Tell me what sin is on your mind, yeah
Start confessing to your crimes, yeah

damn, suddenly someone starts talking after i turned on some other music in another tab. how scary, i forgot

  2. M.... G....

Two minute of silent do not midnight😂😂✌

  3. S.... ....

The only thing i don´t like about this song is that it is too short, that hammond at the end should have gone for a while more, then one more guitar solo , one last chorus and a grand finale. Just saying...

  4. B.... V....

Great Blackmore vibe on that solo. Cheeky

  5. 2.... ....

why is there a 2 minute silence towards the end?

    2.... ....

Did you listen to the other songs in this album ?? at the end of those 2 or 3 minutes of silence have a spoken narration

    https://youtu.be/BbyKPSJ2DuU?t=431

    2.... ....

I've listened to the album many times and I am aware that there is a narration at the end. Just wondering why there was a long section of silence before it.

    2.... ....

I think to leave it separate from the song and to make a kind of secret narration.

The book of thel / jerusalem / the alchemist / spoken narrations:

What demon hath formed this abominable void ...
    This soul-shuddering vacuum?
Some said it is Urizen -
    But unknown, abstracted, brooding secret
    The dark power hid

    Here is her secret place
From hence she comes forth on the churches in delight
Here is her cup, filled with its poisons
    In these horrid veils
And here, her scarlet veil, woven in pestilence and war
Here is Jerusalem, bound in chains
In the dense of Babylon ...

And all this vegetable world appeared on my left foot
As a bright sandal, formed immortal of precious stones and gold
I stooped down, and bound it on
To walk forward through eternity ...

sounds a lot like his influence, Deep Purple. Great!

  9. C.... A....

es genial esta cancion! tiene esa onda purple que tanto gusta!

  10. F.... S....

one of the best guitar solo I've ever seen

  11. 1.... ....

sounds like a deep purple song...

  12. m.... ....

I can see why these later bonus tracks were not on the original release of The Chemical Wedding. They aren't anywhere near the caliber of that masterpiece.

    m.... ....

Not fitting the theme. And the Alchemist was the perfect end.
