Strangely enough, first I didn't know that they're all from Greater Manchester. I just heard them on Radio, and that was it. Call it Musical Genetics, probably … Only then did I look for their origins. And then … Elbow … Doves … New Order … Joy Division … Stone Roses … Inspiral Carpets … Oasis … I am Kloot … Why is it that Manchester is so prolific? Is it a sad city? Is it a happy city?
