I love that Danny doesn't take himself too seriously. He spits fire, but isn't afraid too get a little goofy.

I think the song is intentionally very playful and infantile to juxtapose how crazy and surreal, almost trippy/psychedelic it seemed for him to witness all that as a kid, when all he was doing was running to the store real quick. I'm sure through this song he is looking back at his childhood as if it were a bad trip.
