I love the story to this video. Everyone in the video is friends and family with Brittany. She also sent a letter originally to Terry Crews asking for him to be in the video. At first she said they could do it in L.A but he was the one that said they should do it in her hometown in Alabama. It’s fucking beautiful and accents just how amazing of a human being Terry Crews is. Never mind the fact that the song is amazing as well!! It all just goes together like peanut butter and chocolate. I'm very confused how I feel about this song. My friend from High School named Brittany Howard died of a heroine overdose 3 years ago. She was featured on an episode of Intervention which was heartbreaking to watch. After spending about a month in rehab she returned a couple days later and OD'd. They have since taken the episode down out of consideration for her family. I miss that girl so much. Such a brilliant intellect with beauty to match.

I'm really sorry about your friend. Maybe I can help clear your head on this one. I did not think the song was about drugs. I think "stay high" means stay high in spirit, stay on the high road, your high horse, something like that. I think the video better interprets the lyrics and really shows what he is trying to communicate.
