I'm Christian, but I don't fully believe in god. I thought Christian songs was ridiculous, but this song proved me wrong. I'm not ashamed of listening to these type of songs now. My friends says they find it weird that I listen to these type of songs now, but I don't care. These kind of songs make me happy. And people should listen to songs that makes them happy, they shouldn't be ashamed.

When I was 6th grade, I went through a high level of depression. My dad was drying out, and my mom was working. December, 22nd, 2010, I was 11 years old, going on 12. I grew up that day. I was sitting behind my bed, hiding because I was so afraid of my own dad. My heavenly father, was knocking on the door of my heart that day. A year and a half later, I gave my life to Christ. On November, 14th, 2015 at Young Life Camp, I dedicated my life to keeping my faith and my promises to the Father. God took me through the dissolution of my parents marriage when I was 16. I didn't see my dad ever again. He died when I was 20 as I was recovering from medical issues. Because Christ was crucified on the cross, I don't have to regret hating my dad, because I forgave him in 2016. He never got the benefit of that forgiveness but I know that he is in a much better place. <3

When I was very young, 13 years old (I'm 15 now) I was questioning my sexuality. And I fell in love with my girl best friend who was already gay. I was in a very bad place cuz I'm Christian and I knew gay was a sin. But my feelings were so strong I felt trapped. Nothing but trapped. So she starts dating this girl and my world shattered. I became depressed really fast for 2 reasons. 1, being in love with the WRONG person and the fact they are dating someone else and 2, the fact that I was questioning everything and that I might be bisexual and that I didn't want to disappoint my family and I didn't want it to be true myself. The first one was mostly the reason tho. I was depressed for 3 months and every night I would listen to sad music and cry. I never told anyone and to this day I never did. Cuz I was afraid of being judged cuz like I said my family and I are Christian's. Eventually over time I just got over it. A boy came in my life and that's what my happiness focused on. We started dating and I never been happier cuz before I planned on telling her I liked her and now looking back I am so glad I didn't. But things fell apart with the boy but I am not even sad about it. Cuz that's what was supposed to happen. At least it was a guy cuz then I discovered I AM straight. And gay IS a sin. It made me better and stronger. It made me realize what my true self is and it made me find my true sexuality which is and always was straight. Afterwards, I felt so good. I started dating boys again and I COULD NEVER DATE A GIRL! I became boy crazy and I am currently dating one now that I love so much I can't imagine losing him. At the time I didn't know I wasn't alone. Now looking back I know God was with me the whole time and that is all I needed 😇 dark roads lead to beautiful destinations. When God pushes you to the edge of difficulty, trust him fully he has a better plan for you. Everything happens for a reason at the exact moment they're supposed to even when it doesn't make sense, it will make perfect sense someday. Because things that happen in life, happen for a reason. Trust God❤️
If I could go back and tell my 7th grade self "everything is going to be okay" I would :)

First time I heard/saw this video. The first stanza is on point on how God rescued me. This brings back the most comfortable feeling I had ever felt. That night, I cried my last tears knowing I am all alone in my bedroom. As I fell asleep, I got to see myself on the bed with my body lying on its side with its back towards me. I looked at it and white light shone on it, so bright it is impossible to be from the neighbor's. I looked toward my right and I saw a figure in white and felt very comfortable for the first time in my life. After that, all I remember is waking up as if nothing is weighing down my heart.

Someone liked this song today, on May 15,2019, and I just want to thank whoever it was. I've been trying to sort through life, I found out on May 13,2019, that my real dad passed away. I really didn't ever get know him because of things that happened. My mom had full custody of me and my sister. I hated my dad for so long, and he's dead. Just remember whoever may be reading this, life's a struggle, and remember that Jesus has walking and watching over ever since before you were even born, so again, thank you to whoever liked my comment. I needed an answer, and it's that Jesus is still walking with me, and I'm going to be alright. If you have lost someone, Jesus know's what he's doing. I've always struggled with feeling alone, but guess what, even if you don't believe in God, He's still there, and believe me sooner or later doubting him will make you fall into depression, and you will find that there is a God, the God of the whole universe that Love's you and He's waiting for you to turn to Him. He's been walking with you all this time. You're not alone, just remember that, and there is someone that Love's you. Stay strong, keep fighting for your life, because believe or not your here for a reason. Also, forgive.
