Bright Eyes - Falling Out Of Love At This Volume Lyrics
Tell me what you wanted to hear
Let me do the right thing
Let me do the wrong thing
And if it's ever this clear
I will only say it once
So you can hear nothing
And if I die tonight then I guess I die tonight
Let me go on
Just say what you wanted to say
I cannot stand these talks dear
They only get us nowhere
It's never resolved
We only run around
You wanna tell me anyone could be just like me
If it's a different time and a different place to be

Bright Eyes Falling Out Of Love At This Volume Comments
Ive been wondering what song this was forever. My sister had this burned cd and it had this song in it didn't know what song it was back then i didn't have internet
I believe this song could be used to flirt
Successfully, tho? ;)
Genius!
Fake and gay :/
"I guess you're just what I needed!" Love it... but Cars, much?
+PapaMurphey1 This came out long before that.
@Drakoak you're joking right? or do you think he's talking about the Cars movie? the cars are a band that have the song just what I needed and this song uses the same chord progression during the verses
@waglagon711 nah the cars doesn't exist he was talking about the mobie
I have no idea why this song gives me so many feelings but it does and I like it.
Fevers and Mirrors is, in my opinion, his most depressing album. I rarely listen to it because of that reason alone. Not that I don't like the songs, they are awesome. But they are way more depressing and not as good as his earlier or later stuff. Anyone else feel like with each album comes a different genre?
I think it's a kind of weak album overall, too, apart from June on the West Coast, as well as Padraic my Prince and If Winter Ends, if I'm in a gloomier mood. Fevers and Mirrors is gold, though.
its definitely his worst record. some great songs on it, but seriously everything from fevers on is damn near flawless
@ayeungturtle simply genius
fuckin brilliant!
@Jtomczak7959 its cool to see how his writing has improved
@cooliodiddy
When they came to El Paso, they also played this. I actually like this, but the live version is lovely. And artists can do whatever they want, but I'm glad he's not one of those guys who shuns his early "bad" work, but instead brings it back and does it better. That's a little unheard of.
I hope Conor knows how valuable his life is
this album is flawed, he was 15-18 years old and recording on a reel to reel in a laundry room. therefore it is great due to its "realness"
I LOVE this song *_* <3
this is bright eyes best album by far imo.
Pretty sure this is the only song off this album they played at the show I went to. I liked the way he sang it live, his voice sounded so much more mature.
i love this song....one of the best. :]
Other than June on the West Coast, I considered everything Conor did before Fevers and Mirrors to be flawed to the point of no return. This song proved me way, way wrong.
i remember when he played this song live i was soooooooooooo happy! conor sends chills up my spine;))))))))))))
Oh Mr. Oberst....words can not express how much I love every word that has over exited your mouth.
Hi Adam. Thanks for the AWESOME song :)
i frickin LOVE this song!! :)
dont know what i would do without Conor
was this song written during the Commander Venus era?
if my heart was a person it'd be conor.....seriously. his music gives me goosebumps no matter what. makes me happy no matter what. i probably wouldnt be who i am right now without this
I just bought this album of amazon because of this song and feb. 15th. I can't wait to get it...
@leshistoires no lov it
@Th3Cur31978 vacantbass is right. I'm a guy and I like bright eyes too. There *are* a lot of us out there. I have a lot of friend's who love Conor's work.
Personally I'm in love with everything Conor has ever done, or at least everything I've heard thus far.
Its all so wildly different and shows so much musical change and growth yet still remains passionate and his lyrics are always just brilliant and capture emotion and memories and feelings, so well. As does his voice imo.
But yeah I'm not partial to any of it, cause I love it all haha.
<3
But yeah, early Bright Eyes is so amazing.
@Th3Cur31978 im a boy and i love bright eyes, theres a ton of us
@southerlybeasties perfection is boring anyway.
@ayeungturtle This and Digital Ash are in my opinion the best Bright Eyes albums. Fuck the critics.
I wish it were longer. :(
@soccercrazy309 I think it was actually 13-15. I think.
@xohitsmo thats what so great about bright eyes or connor, they always make you feel like its your life, like you could have written it, like your the only person ever to hear it, they are just so personal... i cant stand how depressed they make me but i cant stop listening.
dude, I wasnt contradicting that, Iwas just saying I prefer the newer Oberst sound
Thanks for uploading all of these. :)
This song always made me so happy.
I have to say I prefer the newer, folkier connor, but still love all of his songs!
this is so sweet...i have no idea why this album has been criticized.
First song I ever heard of Bright Eyes way back when I was in 9th grade, takes me back. Still partial to this... will still always see this as my favorite whenever I hear it
