This is obviously about drug addiction as an addict can tell an addict.

It's the voice, your addiction kicking in, making it so hard not to do it especially if you are around it.

As an addict getting your fix is important. Dope sickness isn't a joke and it will turn a nice person into a terrible thief but that's irrelevant. He's also commenting on the short-term thinking. Do it all now and I'll be sick tomorrow, we'll tomorrow isn't important when you need it now.

The hopelessness you feel about quitting. I'm pretty sure most heroin users relapse multiple times before becoming clean. It's hard and sometimes feels like why even bother trying.

Seems to me like he's lying to himself like I did as I was becoming addicted you don't think it can happen to you but the devils in the details. Always.

The beginning of using seems so magical like love but then you mess around too much and get addicted or maybe how at first the drug helped you in life say with coping however now you need it and coping is even harder and it's all confusing and sucky now.

Again he can't stop and maybe he should write all this down in case he dies which is a likely possibility as a junkie which is only because sometimes people like us need help especially with mental illness.

Sometimes a drug binge leaves you feeling like you just lost a month of your life or weeks with no memory and no idea what you have done.

He seems what it's done and that the road only goes one way and that if he can stop now he will.

It seems like this happened out of nowhere and now all day and night I think about quitting however thats a lie because if I can make myself believe I'll quit tomorrow or next week or whenever then I can do my dope guilt free...at least until tomorrow morning when the shitty cycle continues.

I think this song is about temptation. You give in knowing the consequences and when its all over you try to lie to yourself about it trying to make it okay. but of course, it just ends up hurting you in the end. Also the last line, "I am the first one to deceive, if I can make myself believe the rest is easy." is probably one of the most honest lines I have ever heard. Just beautiful.
As a person who gives into temptation all too much, this song is very relate able and beautifully written.
