I have only first now discovered the faces in this album cover, wtf? that's kind of a mindfuck for me.

We were fortunate to see them in DC and Philadelphia in the beginning of May, and both shows were totally awesome

Saw them in San Diego on the last show of the U.S. tour. They played for over three hours and closed with this song...just a massive wall of sound. Epic!

I just saw them play live and this was the first song! I had the best time!

+reece thornhill The guitars are tuned to the song, however in standard tuning you can get the same effect by playing the chords C#/F# which carries through the whole song. The lead line goes roughly: 18-16-15-13-11-11-10-11-13 on the G string.. You can figure out the tune from the song...

wow, after re-reading my post, it really comes across as aggressive, wasn't my intention! I respect your opinion and especially your levelheadedness as well, and as I said before, The Verve's EP was top notch, great great album.

no problems there,i respect your opinion, but Nick McCabe... that guy makes sounds on the guitar that I've never heard before

lol, no fucking way. The Verve put out that one great EP, then ditched shoegazing before they could come full circle with the sound. the methodrone album smashes that EP imo, and so does Loveless by MBV, and imo Delaware by the Drop Nineteens (this one is probably exclusive to me, just love that album)

Anyone know the chords? I can't, for the life of me figure it out.

6 years late on the reply but - to play this I tune my guitar to open d, and the chords are just an open strum and barring the e a and d strings on the 5th fret. Mess around with that and you'll find the groove.

Also in this open d tuning, you can jam along to the horns/drone melody in your g string (which is an f# in that tuning) mess around and you'll find it.

BJM probably have the greatest body of work known to music; Anton seems to constantly make music without stopping. The guy is a genius; Methodrone was the first BJM album I bought back in the late 90's early 2000's; I was about 15/16 and I was completely blown away by it.
