Brian Eno - You Don't Miss Your Water Lyrics

In the beginning you really loved me
But I was blind and I could not see
But when you left me, oh how I cried
You don't miss your water 'til your well runs dry

I was a playboy, I could not be true
I could not believe that I really love you
But when you left me, oh how I cried
You don't miss your water 'til your well runs dry

In the beginning you really loved me
But I was blind and I could not see
But when you left me, oh how I cried
You don't miss your water 'til your well runs dry
You don't miss your water 'til your well runs dry

Brian Eno You Don't Miss Your Water Comments
  1. D.... O....

    Buttery goodness.

  2. J.... ....

It sounds like John Cale because it is him singing. It's the penultimate song from the duo-album Wrong Way Up, so it actually should be Brian Eno & John Cale.

    J.... ....

Actually this came out two years before Wrong Way Up and was only added as a bonus track when that record was reissued. On the Married to the Mob soundtrack this is credited to Brian Eno (and this indeed him singing) who also produced the track and the only other player credited is Daniel Lanois on steel guitar. And if you check the credits on the reissued Wrong Way Up you will see this song is credited to Brian and Daniel only on that release as well. Cheers!

Also from the soundtrack "Married to The Mob" (1988) It features early songs by Sinéad O'Connor and Chris Isaak as well as a Brian Eno cover of William Bell's soul classic "You Don't Miss Your Water". Best regards for all. I´m Jafet Rashid.
