@JoelBrandonMedia Well, according to Brendan, he was kinda just messin around when he started writing the song but then his friends said they were diggin it so he figured, "why not?" Personally, I'm glad he did b/c I agree that it's a departure from his usual style, but I like that! Also, I'm a woman so.... =)
