Brenda Lee - Something's Wrong With Me Lyrics

Something wrong with me, can't get you out of my mind
I see your face in everything I do
It feels like I've known you for a long long time
I only want to make it with you

Something in your eyes that just wont let me forget you
Something in you face that keeps me hanging around you
Something's got a hold of me the day that I met you
There's something wrong with me
Something's wrong with me

Yesterday I saw you on the street with someone
I said it doesn't matter to me
Behind this smile, I'm wearing all the tears of a clown
Cause loving you is where I want to be

Something in your eyes that just wont let me forget you
Something in you face that keeps me hanging around you
Something's got a hold of me the day that I met you
Something wrong with me
Something's wrong with me
There's something wrong with me
There's something wrong with me
There's something wrong

Something in your eyes that just wont let me forget you
Something in you face that keeps me hanging around you
Something's got a hold of me the day that I met you
Something wrong with me

    Hmmm. I'm not sure whether I like this version or the original version better.

    On this day in 1973 {Feb. 10th} Austin Roberts performed "Something's Wrong With Me" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'
    Three months earlier on Oct. 14th, 1972 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #12 & spent 15 weeks on the Top 100
    It was co-composed by Bobby Hart; who also co-wrote "(Theme from) The Monkees" and "Last Train to Clarksville" {#1 for 1 week in 1966}
    RIP Mr. Clark {1929-2012} & Mr. Roberts celebrated his 67th birthday this past Sept. 19th

    Love this album, why was it never issued on CD. "Always On My Mind" is on the album and I still think her ORIGINAL version is the best.

    Didn't know she did this, but I definitely like it. Unlike the song title, there is nothing wrong with Brenda Lee! Like most, my first exposure was Austin Roberts' version, but this is a song that works from either male or female perspective.

    @ol49rrrrr You are welcome.

    I don't think Brenda Lee ever did a bad cover and this is no exception. Doesn't quite grab me like the Austin Roberts original though. But "All Alone Am I "and "Losing You" get to me every time. Still, interesting to hear. Thanks for the upload.
