Chorus is cheesy but this song has a powerful meaning

i think the only thing i dont like about this song is the lack of drum ._.
just a little bit of percussion like in ashes of Eden would be great

I have to respectfully disagree. an acoustic is all you need sometimes. this is one of those songs that are better for not having any percussion.

My mom passed away at the end of February this year. She liked listening to Breaking Benjamin. This song, though initially making me sad, now brings me some peace knowing that her painful suffering is over. She's at peace now. The rain finally parted for her in her last moments, which is all any of us could've asked for after the five decades of medical problems that plagued her. I miss you every day, momma.

Such an underestimated song. I love this song because of the guitar and his voice is very clear. I've always known he had a quality voice, but he actually has a really controlled and clear, F2-E5 vocal range. I wish I had that voice, it's not exactly a special voice, but the way he uses his sound is what draws people to the music (I'm a drummer, so the first time I listened to a BB song I was immediately drawn to their drumming). During the first live show I saw of them, this was a song they played towards the end (Diary of Jane was the very last song they played). Burnley seems like an intimidating guy when you first meet him, but once he shook all 12 of the backstage access people's hands after the show and introduced himself and what he plays, as well as the rest of the band members, then you could tell he was actually a pretty normal, but very quiet and respectful person.

It was the first song that came to mind when he was crying in the hospital so it's now the first song he's ever heard in his life and the only song that immediately stops him from crying. It's both our favorite songs right now and I sing it to him every day♥️
