I myself can never get enough of music like this to feed my soul...there are no singer/song writers left today who possess this special gift and passion for love songs. Clearly remember hearing Johnnie Walker playing this on his 1-3pm show on Radio One in January 1973. I would listen at school from 1-2 on my transistor radio with the one ear piece. What happy days they were.

What a pure, beautiful voice, man. I was so fortunate to have grown up in the 60s and 70s. We had the best music. It got almost interrupted by disco for a brief stint but we kept that tamped down with all the good music. Still do. I haven’t listened to radio in - years.

QUESTION! DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THIS SONG BEING IN A CAR COMMERCIAL?? Back in probably the early 80s (late 70s?), there was a car or truck commercial on t.v. At the very end of the commercial, you hear the last of this song: "...A new sweet thing in my life, I surrender to you." (The idea was the person in the car commercial got a new car, which was a the new sweet thing in their life, and it used a popular song of the day to make the commercial hip, I suppose.) Google turns up nothing! Am I totally imagining this? Thank you!!
