Because of Louie Louie I turned country in 1965, still am, but I married a girl of the 70s 27 years ago and found out that Chicago and America aren't just places on a map.


Now, I'm 72 and still loving this music and adding to my playlist.


You know the 60s and 70s music is the best because the use it in all their commercials today!

I've commented so much about "BREAD" I so love these guys ,words can't express my feelings for their songs, one in particular "DIARY" and GUITER MAN" The words in Diary about"and I will give to her my wife all things,,,,,,,, !! Is just exquisite coming from his mouth when singing this part Iwill listen to these words over and over again,I tell you these guys are the greatest,!!!! I go through my daily life and in my day which is pretty quiet at work,I take time , which is most times to enjoy "BREAD" thank you for making my life enjoyable.

This actually happened to me. I found his journal and it said that my enemy was his muse. He and I had been together for five years and I thought we were to be married. I felt so insulted because this girl was supposed to be my friend. She had done nothing for him, not cared about him. He left me for her for two years. She made him lose all of his money, destroyed his reputation. He was left with nothing. Sometimes, the grass is not greener. Sometimes your muse is a monster.

I grew up listening to David Gates and Bread. 'If" is my favorite and this one runs a close second. Those were the days my friend, when life was good and sweet. Right was right and wrong was wrong and music was punctuated with meaning and thought. It was more than loud noise and a beat. It had purpose, meaning, gave support, and soothed us when we cried. Who knew the day would come when we would have to send our children to school with bulletproof school bags, much less teach them how to use them. What a strange, sad world we live in today. What happened to us?????

Why can’t we have more songs like this? All we have now is songs about nudity and swearing so much as if it were against their religion to say ONE sentence without swearing or anything gross. We just lost that calm vibe, haven’t we?

This was always been one of my favorite songs, i remember playing this before i go to sleep. I was so young to realized how selfless this song is, the last two lines speak volumes "All the good things she can find, all the sweet things they can find."
