I could not agree with you more. Music has evolved and I can't knock it but it not my style for brandy to go back would mean that she should only appeal to an aging audience that remembers her from her younger days. I believe that she has had difficulty finding that sound that appeals to yesteryear and today. Either way this is a great album. My fav is Afrodisiac .

Yeah, I think she made sure to have the writers get how she is feeling sexually and relationship wise through but as a whole, these are ideas and thoughts of someone else. That's not to say Brandy doesn't feel the same way and agrees with them though. Brandy has never been that involved in the writing process in her albums anyway, right?

While i agree, i think the album is wonderful but i think it lacks honesty. This album was written by alot of other people so that she would be sure not to the "Human" mistake.

Are you saying Brandy was ratchet on this new album? She is simply being more assertive and sure of herself. I didn't hear anything that came off as ratchet. Yes, there are a few who aren't satisfied with this album but there are also a lot of people who love it, myself included. She still has the amazing runs and vocal quality with an updated sound and she even has some deeper songs on this album(Scared of Beautiful, for example). It wasn't wack at all to me.

We're simply in a new time. People can't keep releasing the kind of music that was being released years ago and expect success. Artists today need to find a way to blend that old sound and the sound of today and I think Brandy did that splendidly. Mind you, this is coming from someone who absolutely LOVES the sounds from back in the day.
