Boz Scaggs - Your Good Thing (Is About To End) Lyrics

I don't have to beg you to hold me
Cause somebody else will
You don't have to love me when I want it
Cause somebody else will
Your so called friends say you don't need it
When all the time they're trying to get it
Lookout
Your good thing is coming to an end
Your real good thing is about to end

All those nights I watched the four walls
I didn't have to watch them all alone
When another woman said she wanted me
I didn't have to tell her I was your very own
You've had all the love I've got
But even ice melts to water when it gets hot
Your good thing is coming to an end
I mean your real good thing is about to end

I'm getting myself back together
It's gonna be tough I know
But when the right woman comes along
You can bet I won't say no
Your real good thing
I said it's coming to an end
Your real real good thing
Is about to end

Your so called friends say you don't need it
When all the time they're trying to get it
Lookout
Your good thing is coming to an end
Talking about your real real good thing
Said it's coming to an end
Talking about the good thing
The real thing
Gonna be a brand new day
When your good thing goes away
Call me Mister gone gone gone gone gone away
You'd better have something going on
Cause your good thing is moving on

Talking about your good thing
Is coming to an end

Oh, also, I had my playlist on private because I was afraid if I put it on public YouTube would delete them.

@Fred Flintstone How all is well with you and yours with that storm! Of course I know how the media tends to exaggerate. But, just in case.. Take care

@Maria R The storm you're referring to is mostly on the California coast. I'm well to the east, now. I haven't lived in San Francisco since 1982. I go back for business, now and again, though. I just returned after a few days in that area for business, coincidentally. Where I live, It IS pretty windy and cold, with a little rain, not too heavy, almost like a constant sprinkle, that hasn't stopped since Friday afternoon. There have been bursts of heavy rain, and yesterday, for about two hours, beautiful sunshine burst forth. The wind is what bothers me....sustained at about 35 miles per hour. Makes my horses and dogs jumpy. I did get everybody out for the two hours of sunshine, but right back inside when it picked up, again. We're supposed to get snow on Tuesday....kinda unusual as I 'm not real high in the mountains. Not interested in that actually, as it'll make a mess of things when it melts. I can get get to the snow in about 45 minutes, when I want....that's the way I like it. Hope things are well with you....

@Fred Flintstone Hi Fred...wonder what your real name is? 😇 I'm finally well, thanks. And I'm glad you are good too. I am not a fan of wind either. Or snow. Snow seems gloomy to live in. I guess I'm forever an Az girl! Oh, and a Boz girl.
