BoySetsFire - Release The Dogs Lyrics
In a moment of weakness they've gone for the throat
Prayers answered for the ruling classes, and we swallowed them whole
Heads down and hands up our need for safety has been hijacked again
They've got their fingers on the pulse of our mourning with knives poised
Decide- right now -which side you're on, invest our freedom in failure by design
Guided deception allegiance to a goal
That never mattered until they told us so
Blowback has blown back into our face and ignited a war
On home turf between control and our free will lines are drawn
Release the dogs, they've picked up the scent, moving in for the kill
Unchained and hungry teeth ready to feast
Release the dogs

im glad to have seen BSF live once.
This and "State of the Union" by Rise Against are TOTAL badass songs.
high school .. Memories 😁
Man I remember listening to this song so much my freshman year in high school. I hadn't ever thought of the lyrics and copied them into a word document to paste into my lyrics on my iPod nano and my mom found them and was like "what's this government war poem?" Haha
Their best album imo. Lyrically brilliant! Political masterpiece!
Great great song!

@alucard2185 lmao...wow. i was on hatebreeds street team....all i got was a fuckload of stickers and a couple of single CD's. good times, though. every asshole and their girlfriend were always grabbing at the stickers like they were my nuts, at the shows. which was funny, seeing as they always ended up pasted up on the bathroom at the end of the night.
Unsane's channel on Pandora actually brought me here, no shit....
amazing how many people are taken back to high school by this. Everyone was trying to get on street teams, but this was the best thing that ever reached my hands.
your comment is so fucking true.....so true.
This reminds me of HS tooo!!!! Awesome times....seriously awesome times! =')
Oh shit this takes back to high school. Which year? Shit, gotta figure that out...
They took a lot of flack for this album, critically speaking. Personally it's not my favorite of their albums, but they were rolling with the times, signed to Wind-Up, and trying to do something that would get them noticed. Unfortunately they were overshadowed by Creed, Nickelback, Evanescence, and Finger Eleven, all of whom had major releases at the same time. It is a sad, sad state of affairs...
RELEASE THE DOOOOOOOOOOOGSS !!!!!!!!!!
@Hreodrich Mine too. :D
No kidding. This song is my highschool soundtrack.
THE BLOODHOUNDS
