Boyle, Susan - Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace Lyrics

My great grandmother just passed away on the 17th of January 2020, this was the song played at her funeral, she was 98, she served in the land army, she devoted her entire life to me and her family, on our independence day of the 1st of February 2020 I had to bury her. She was the light in my nightmares, she was a Christian, I must admit I do not believe in such things as the afterlife or any religion but if there is an afterlife, I hope she will be proud of the actions I take in the future to preserve my family and my friends.

I usually discard these comments as attention seeking but now I see I was wrong, it may seem simple but truely pause, as long as you need, and look them in the eye and tell them you love them. After loosing all of my amazing grandparents it is now my turn to take up the burden of protecting what I care for, if you stumble across this, take care of your grandparents, do them proud, you never know when they may slip away.

Tonight is is a year to date of the passing of my late wife, I played this at her funeral. It’s been a journey for the the last 12 months, first Christmas with the kids, my god where has time gone . Thank you Susan Boyle you have a voice of an angel thank you so much. Rest in peace Tina. Xx

My sister's husband died this week. and I think this song is the only thing I have bee thinking about since. He was young with 3 boy. My heart breaks for her and I pray for strength for everyone that suffers such a big loss. Let the sadness rain down and grow flowers of remembrance and grow new life and joy. which is how are departed ones would like us to live happy and healthy and love filled lives. Sung at my grandmother's Requiem Mass as we carried her body from the church. What a lesson she taught us by requesting this for the last song at her funeral….God bless Susan Boyle for recording this lovely hymn. 

An arrangement was also sung at Princess Diana's funeral.

Love it, regardless of religion. As for being 'Christian' my papa on his death bed asked me if he was a christian...I said yes and explained to him how, as he was not a christian (ie believing in JC) but he was a good man. By the way he was in the 2ndWW and learnt how to kill or be killed.. he suffered from PTSD and was granted a war pension in the 1990's,..and worked all that time and never told us, I found it with his written instructions on the back of a Corn Flakes Kellog packet...music :-D
