Bowie, David - Seven Years In Tibet Lyrics

"Are you OK?
You've been shot in the head
And I'm holding your brains"
The old woman said
So I drink in the shadows
Of an evening sky
See nothing at all

The stars look so special
And the snow looks so old
The frail form is drifting
Beyond the orc's zone
Time to question the mountain
Why pigs can fly
It's nothing at all

I praise to you
Nothing ever goes away
I praise to you
Nothing ever goes
I praise to you
I praise to you
Nothing ever goes away
I praise to you
Nothing ever goes
I praise to you
Nothing ever goes away
I praise to you
Nothing ever goes, nothing ever goes
Nothing

  11. S.... E....

Without this genius we would have never had Boy George...No Marylin Manson...No Placebo....Luther Vandross No "Glam Rock" Or Digital Downloads..sorry kids Bowie was the first artist to post his albums entirely on the net on his own website..sell his own art directly to his fans....The world has been a sadder place since Jan. 2016

    S.... E....

I've also heard that Bowie helped Tina Turner with her solo career. And I'm not speaking about Tonight. Is that true?

This and Outside are SO VERY UNDERRATED it hurts.

  28. C.... P....

    Basically Gorillaz

    C.... P....

Except basically 10x better than anything Gorillaz has ever done

    C.... P....

+BreakingBeJammin And except Gorillaz issued their first successful single (Clint Eastwood) 4 years later...

    C.... P....

You meant Gorillaz is basically Bowie? ;)

  29. o.... ....

    nin's closer beat

  30. P.... L....

Sounds like it may have been an influence on Gorillaz, maybe? Underrated album. I wish more people showed this phase of Bowie some love.

    P.... L....

I really love this Bowie phase and I'm pretty sure Gorillaz is influenced by him. Albarn loves him

    P.... L....

I know, right? He legit sounded like 2D in the beginning!

    P.... L....

Was looking for this comment. One of the first things I thought of.

    P.... L....

    1. Outside to Hours is really one of Bowie's most creative phases. It feels like he really matured as an artist at that time and gained the confidence to try whatever he wanted. It's also been a huge inspiration for myself tbh.

I agree about what you say about albums like Earthling, Outside & Heathen not getting any plays on the radio, even on (so called)alt stations. It's almost like their stuck in time, constantly playing all the old faves, seemingly unaware of this mans vast body of work, after say, Scary Monsters (lol). In the end it's their loss, but in saying this, I think they'll come to see what a genius they had in their midst in the genius David f#cking Bowie!

    R.... L....

there is a good reason, if the so called 'radio stations' do not play albums like the ones you mentioned. it is the deeper message of the songs to humanity... they want society stay asleep and ignored. they do not want critical thinkers...

    R.... L....

Buddah of suburbia is a great tune :)

  33. R.... L....

When you rock 'n' roll with me
No one else I'd rather be
Nobody here can do it for me
    I'm in tears again…

  34. M.... T....

Like many of his songs underrated, yet all we here is the same old ones on the radio. Play these they are so much better....

  35. P.... f....

This shit rocks, a true LEGEND.

  36. F.... M....

    i'm not ok anymore.....

  37. C.... m....

    What an excellent song!!!!

  38. M.... Y....

    Brilliant!

  39. D.... ....

Seven Years in Tibet.....a simply great song.
