Boston - The Way You Look Tonight Lyrics

Look beyond the world you know
Maybe hope will come back your way
And I've heard a tree can grow
Out of the ashes of yesterday

I've been taken, I'm falling into the night
And your spell, I can't break it
It's calling me to your side, and
And everything's alright

Ooh, the way you look tonight
Ooh, the way you look tonight
Yeah, the way you look tonight

Once, we had a chance before
I remember like yesterday
But when you opened up your door
I couldn't find a word to say

What I'm feeling, I'm falling back into faith
In a world of believing, I thought it -
it might be too late, and
Oh, too late tonight, but, now everything's alright

Ooh, the way you look tonight
Ooh, the way you look tonight

You don't need to say anything at all
Believe in my love this time
I'll catch you when you fall
Yeah - hey

You blew me away, and like they say
I know the time is right
I waited so long, this can't be wrong
The way you look, the way you look tonight

Boston The Way You Look Tonight Comments
  1. J.... B....

if you buy one album you'll need buy them all according to my OCD.

  2. S.... B....

This is the only album I didn't buy from Boston. It just isn't the same without Brad Delp.

  3. B.... t....

Lp is like the only full anolog of modern major releases.

  4. J.... H....

No music other than Boston, has shaped me to the man I am today. Love takes a lot of work. Love your wife...in fact love her more than anything! Forgive her, support her, put her on the pedestal of your life. She’s not perfect and neither are you so LOVE her.

  5. T.... ....

This song is not to be confused with "Something About the Way You Look Tonight" by Elton John.

  6. T.... K....

Brad Delp was the best!!! Boston will NEVER be the same!!

  7. I.... ....

this is a good son. where are the piano sheet moozak

  8. J.... ....

Adding my two cents. This was the best song on Life Love And Hope. Tommy did a fabulous job on the vocals, and if this had been on an earlier album with Brad singing it, it would have been a solid hit.

  9. m.... i....

    みんな忘れるな!。
    世の中には、
    こんな素晴らしい歌があるんだ!!。

  10. c.... K....

Boston nails it with this Song!

  11. S.... L....

Had far too few views. Quality track.

  12. T.... M....

    They're sounding old.

  13. J.... G....

Good album title but .. um.
To each thier own i guess.

  14. h.... n....

dual guitars ! goudreau and scholz! that why i love boston.

  15. a.... b....

    i need your music

  16. B.... w....

omg as bad as a kiss album. this is not the super group Boston.

  17. l.... m....

i mean from 250m to the end it sounds good, like old boston

  18. l.... m....

the vocals are not good at all

    l.... m....

lenny moses how can you say that??? Tommy is a great singer!!

  19. F.... N....

I don`t give a shit! I fu.... love this song!! Boston then or Boston now..I eat it all!! The melody and the harmonys are still there!! And I love it!!

    F.... N....

    Correct

    F.... N....

Frank Nielsen i agree, the same happens to me!

    F.... N....

Have to disagree here. Glad you like it but Boston WAS a actual "Rock & Roll BAND" at one time that did actual "rock & roll" music. This crap isn't "rock & roll" music anymore and Scholz's crap music hasn't been ANY form of "rock & roll band" since the 2nd album Don't Look Back when he stupidly dismantled the original "Rock & roll band" that made them famous. Scholz is not all that and his BORING girly ballad music writing has proven that over the years. Might as well be elevator music. This music sucks imo. BORING YAWN.

    F.... N....

    Frank Nielsen ,better than ever

    F.... N....

It's obvious it's not the Rock & Roll it was with Brad Delp on the first 2 albums, but it has the signature sound of Boston musically. The band has changed their style and the songs are pretty good in my humble opinion. I was 19yrs old when the 76 album came out and Boston has been my favorite band since. Boston after Brad Delp is different, but I followed Brad and RTZ, Delp & Goudreau and Fran with Orion The Hunter. We lost a treasure with Brad and Sib, but we still have the music. I can live with that's.

  20. J.... ....

There are but 60 seconds on the entire album that are worth listening to, and they're on this track.  Direct your attention to 2:50 to the end.  That's it folks. 60 seconds of old style Boston in the last 20 years.

Now if we can get Tom to remaster Walk On with real drums and vocals by Tommy, I'll buy that album again.

    J.... ....

+ohger1 i agree from 2 50 on it sounds like old boston, finaly i found something i like on this album, from 250 you can hear the classic guitars and great vocals

    J.... ....

I Had a Good Time from CA had a couple of hair-raising 'old style' Boston moments.  That's about it!

    J.... ....

If you want "old style" Boston, go listen to "old Boston". Leave the rest of us alone, we're enjoying our lives.

    J.... ....

@David Gates I'm sure there are tens of people who agree with you... BTW, I like your work on Bread..

  21. W.... B....

Why not Fran Cosmo.  He did great vocals on Walk on.

  22. m.... i....

    NEVER FORGET BOSTON!!

  23. C.... S....

    good track...

  24. n.... ....

I think the general consensus among Boston fans is that regardless of what you think of the new album, this song is pretty awesome and probably the best song on it :)

    n.... ....

If this is the best song on it then that is saying a lot musically how HORRIBLE Tom Scholz music and writing of music has become. What happened to the actual "Rock & Roll BAND"? Oh yeah, he stupidly dismantled it after Boston's 2nd album. Been boring crappy ballad music ever since with no more "rock & roll" music. This might as well be elevator music imo.

    n.... ....

@TheDudeOutfHisElemen The "rock and roll band" you're referring to wasn't even on most tracks of the first two albums, including the track called Rock And Roll Band. Most of it was recorded in Tom's basement by Tom and Brad with Sib covering Masea's demos. BUT, that's not to say that Goudreau, Sheehan, and Hashian didn't have an influence on Tom's writing just by being his friends.

  25. P.... S....

I love this new album.  I can't wait to see them in concert this summer.

    P.... S....

I'm looking forward to coming to JAPAN!
Of course, I'll go to BOSTON concert !!

    P.... S....

    I went to BOSTON LIVE
    in OSAKA.
    I NEVER FORGET!
    BOSTON is THE BEST!!

    P.... S....

@mayu ishi Sounds like you had a great time.  They came to the States in Cleveland.  But they only sang 1 hr and 45 min.  I was disappointed.

  26. N.... S....

    pathetic!

  27. C.... G....

Incredible song!!! Tom scholz is still the master of harmony guitars and great music! !!!!!!!

  28. J.... ....

This is the only song of the album that I like it. Besides of the things that have been said, the song comes into my soul. It´s a shame the quality of the instruments, specially the drums, cos the song could be 10 times better

    J.... ....

    I agree.

  29. b.... r....

Kinda disappointed...Think ill smoke a joint and listen to it again and maybe then ill like it!!!

  30. r.... ....

The worst sound and production ever!!!! The drums are terrible! This sounds like a Mexican student band applying for a bar gig. Wake up Tom!! Put out something of quality, enough demos.

    r.... ....

    robynivan Mexican? That's soecific

  31. e.... p....

this song is fierce....gatorfrenzy is right....Tom Scholz IS Boston.  Don't know if this is their best album or if it even could be with how fragmented this band always seems.   Maybe that is even more credit to Scholz for keeping a lot of the sound/tones the same.

  32. T.... T....

This is the most unoffensive song that wasn't a remake.

Excuse me while I listen to Walk On to drown out the disappointment.

    T.... T....

I'm guessing you don't like the instrumentals.

    T.... T....

It was o.k......just not as good as Third Stage...which wasn't as good as 2 which wasn't as good as 1....

    T.... T....

    @jrock2264
Give it another listen.  I concede it would have been better with Brad and real drums, but it is an amazing album.

    T.... T....

    I'll try.....

    T.... T....

    @jrock2264
Excellent.  If you still don't like it, at  least it won't be for not giving it a chance.  An open mind is a limitless one.

  33. H.... ....

At first I was disappointed in the album, but after a few listens I'm loving it more & more. I know now that this is another masterpiece by Tom Scholz. I bought the CD from Best Buy. Tom puts so much time & effort into his recording & production that I didn't want MP3 files to degrade the sound at all. The physical CD sounds better, it sounds great! Don't be quick to put this album down. Give these songs a chance to grow on you, but you really need the physical CD for amazing sound... :)

  34. t.... ....

Love the album. 2nd favorite track.

  35. e.... ....

This is garbage.  I tried.  My Boston story:  I was exposed to the first two albums when I was very young; I was blown away.  Such a full, rich sound, strong lyrics, amazing vocals.  Sure, Scholz will never be confused for a virtuoso, but his playing was solid and clean.  Then, Third Stage cam out and I was jazzed.  It's a fantastic album, and it was mine as I was enjoying CURRENT Boston at that time.  Years went by, and one day I made the mistake of seeing Boston live when Walk On came out.  It was a horrid show.  I must have been spoiled by bands like Metallica, Queensryche and Rush.  Also, the album is poor.  But, this one....this one is at an all new low.  Everything is so processed and it all sounds as if each song is pieced together ten seconds at a time.  There's no fluidity...no sense of "live" in the sound whatsoever.  The vocalist is awful...and no, I'm not trying to compare him to Brad Delp...who would.  Even if they found some guy who could approximate him (see Journey...Arnel Pineda) it would still sound like absolute garbage.  The lyrics are written by a ten-year-old.  God, this is just pathetic.

    e.... ....

Well said eddiesatch i could not agree more. A pathetic attempt at writing and god only knows were he recruits these singers from. I so much wanted to like this album but no way will i pay good money for this over processed stuff.
He should have done it as a solo album instead of relating it to Boston. Well roll on another ten years.

    e.... ....

Anyone who doesn't appreciate Walk On is no Boston fan.

    e.... ....

I agree the first 3 and ive had them on CD since 86 and they are joy to my ears. Third stage is a killer .

  36. A.... a....

Thanks for uploading all the tracks from this album.

  37. J.... M....

Tom Scholz is BOSTON past, present & future.

    J.... M....

    Me, too.
    BOSTON is THE BEST!

    J.... M....

When Tom's gone, Boston will be gone with him. I'm grateful he's still with us and still putting out great albums.

  38. A.... R....

    Amazing album

  39. g.... ....

    Simply Unbelievable.

  40. g.... ....

The Best song from an album that is a masterpiece and arguably Tom Scholz's best work to date.

    g.... ....

your high. Have you listened to any one of the songs from the first three albums. Not even the same band anymore

    g.... ....

@Michael Dude, I have been listening to Boston since their debut album 37 years ago...Everyone has an opinion, and mine is that this new album is more complete and comprehensive than all of the others...The fact that Tom Scholz is the only mainstay in the group from the early years, tells me 2 things: 1) That unique 'Boston sound'  can be attributed to Tom alone  2) Tom Scholz IS Boston.

    g.... ....

@gatorfrenzy I agree that everyone has their own opinion (and taste) when it comes to music. Boston are my all time favourite band (I was also around when they debuted), but I agree with Michael, this album leaves me a little disappointed compared to their earlier work. Even "Corporate America" is a better album, even if three of the tracks on this album are repeats from that album.
