Kafaya son kalan sıcak suyu boca edip hızlıca kurunup koştururdum. Annem arkamda bi taraftan beni kurutmak için çabalar bi taraftan pazartesiye çamaşır yıkayarak girerdi. Tek derdim bu şarkıyı dinleyip pazar gecesi sinemasının ilk 10 dakikasını izlemekti. Sonraki dakikaları izleyemezdik, baba hadi yatağa okula kalkamazsın diye basardı fırçayı. Sevgi dolu yıllardı 90'lar, tüm 80'lerde doğan ve benim gibi sokaklarda büyümüş kardeşlerime selamlar.

Kardeşlerin en küçüğüydüm. Kumanda üzerindeki hakimiyeti en zayıf kişiydim yani. Ama pazar gecesi bir ispanyol boğası olurdum. Kimse direnemezdi bana. Film başlamadan o beş on saniye içinde o şarkıyı dinleyecektim, sonra da film bittikten sonraki o beş on saniyeyi... Şarkının kime ait olduğunu bilmiyordum üstelik. Ne çevremde bilebilecek biri vardı bilsem dahi ne de alacak param. Şimdiki nesile bunu anlatmak pek mümkün değil. Yıllar sonrada olsa o yaşlarda benimle benzer duyguları yaşayan insanların varlığını bilmek te güzel.

Aynen bu şarkıyı 2019 duyduğumda gördüğümde direk tanıdık geldi hemen aşina oldum hoşuma gitti ne güzel şarki dedim

I have this on vinyl, bought it new and have loved the album ever since.

This song has a very deep place in hearth of 90's Children of Turkey.Because before the internet contaminate family ties, ppl could stay together with family and watch movies in front of an antique box at every sunday night.And this song was the generic music of the program"parliament cinema club" I just realized that we were happier and we were the luckiest children ever... I am sad for todays kids.they think that internet is everyting but it is a ballon to pop in one day...

America's most underrated, overlooked, unappreciated artist.  But then, most, not all, Americans wouldn't recognize talent if it jumped in their lap and slap the crap out of them.  So for those who see her for the gifted artist she is, be happy that you had the good fortune to have her music to enjoy in your lifetime.

Lots of Americans do appreciate her for her songwriting, singing, and her work as an English professor, and always have. She performed for a full house in Richmond, Virginia, last night.

You are right on every count. Especially that most Americans would not recognize talent.

She was quite popular among Japanese people because her song was used for a commercial song promoting cigarette. It was so sad when she became ill during a tour and died fairly young. Such a talented lady.

Another one of Karla's song's that Linda Ronstadt did and made a hit! Karla has written so many of Linda's songs for years! Great singer and song writer! If you listen really close you can hear Linda singing backup for her.

Outstanding voice, she's wonderful, an angel of song writing !
