I love this song it was one of my mom's favorite CDs :-) back when you thought you would never be as old as your parents. And everyone does go through it but it doesn't make it any less strange. :-) this song always makes me smile every time I hear it. I did run out of time with my mom much too early. But time flies... Hell now they have a cure for Hepatitis C they came out with the news one year after she died from it long after she contracted it with a blood transfusion after she gave birth to me. one year after that they started testing donor blood for hep C.

Marilu Henner sung a small part of this on the TV Show "Unforgettable." Even thought it was just a small segment, she made a great song greater. Her brief example made me wonder why she never offered a complete version. If not as a commercial offering, at least as a YouTube cover. For those familiar with Ella's Ballads, Bonnie Raitt made this a potential classic, Ella would have made this a permanent classic.

my parents listened to this on the stereo as i was growing up...really loud. lol i miss my childhood! needless to say i enjoy great music to this day! thanks folks! having said that, hearing this now, i wish i could transform myself back to an 8 year old boy discovering great music with his parents who were still deeply in love with one another. lots of time has passed since and a lot of love has been lost...maybe if they just stopped and listened to this for a minute or two together.

im a late comer to the genius of bonnie raitt...the first song i thought i heard was have a heart in 1996 while on the way to new jersey at a time where that song was relevant in my life. ...that song was played on WBLS during the reggae hour along with its reggae artist covers of the song.... when i started listening to more of her music i realized i had been enjoying her for years..she has had her songs on new yorks former jazz station CD101.9 as well as other R&B stations and few artists can boast of such crossover appeal..this woman is a lovely edition to the world of music..god bless her!

But last August while in the Philippines for the summer i was in a taxi in manila when i heard this familiar jingle... The radio station was modeled exactly like CD101. 9.... they even said "smooth jazz CD 98.6"...i was blown away ! ! I had a tear in my eue and tipped the driver more than what i usually do. so although the station name was different it was still CD101. 9 to me.

@the red baron yeah I was pretty pissed off too when it went off the air. It was the only radio station that was playing those kind of songs. All the other stations were playing generic music that was everywhere.

I bought this album (cassette tape😯) as a 17 year old working summer stock in West Yellowstone, MT. This was a ho-hum song for me. Today I’m a 44 year old with 5 children, three of them out of the house and my Mom has Alzheimer’s. This came up on my you tube list today as I was making raspberry jam. I get it now!!!!!!
