Love that this is an easy little song to play but still sounds gorgeous

The fact that they removed part of the lyrics really pisses me off. I'm fine with covers, but when artists alter someone else's art, that's not cool.

@BlackEngulfsTheDying just want to point out that this isn't one of their songs, the original is by Joanna Newsom. She's the greatest musician of the last century, but a ton of people are just turned off by her voice and never give her a chance, so I guess I'm glad a version like this exists.

Honestly, I prefer this to the original....don't know why....the original is nice and all, but i just like the tone of this one more...don't kill me it's just an opinion.

this makes me want to ride my bike on the long 7 mile trail that smells of nature and has tall trees and grass fields, and all the way back, making it 14 miles, with this album on shuffle. 

Valeria Escamilla this song reminds me of my ex- girlfriend, she even looks like the lassie on the album cover :(

This is garbage. They clearly pretended like they wrote this because the omitted performing the most difficult part and kept repeating the easiest part.

Love how they did a cover of Joanna :) I Love her and this band. But the fact that they did it so beautiful and elegantly is beyond words. Bravo!

big fan of Joanna Newsom's original, but i do enjoy this cover, they've not just slapped it onto different instruments, they've changed it up. Good example of a cover.

Why is it called swansea?

It's a (not very good and very incomplete) cover of a song by the peerless Joanna Newsom. Joanna is Californian and the reference is actually to the abandoned boomtown of Swansea in California: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swansea,_California

This cover doesn't mention the relevant part of the song which is:

I prefer the beauty of Newsom's original, and the harp is unbeatable. The guitar rhythm is irritating here

This song doesn't task you to do anything. It's boring. The original is memorable and interesting, and I'm not just talking about her idiosyncratic voice.

I love Bombay Bicycle Club. They're so deep and it seems as though every song of theirs speaks of my life. People like LastoLalaithNin don't know what they're talking about. He has the voice of an angel that flew down from Heaven on a beautiful and unique snowflake to me, to save me. Bombay Bicycle Club saved my life. I will be forever grateful.

Sat there when i saw the title of this going please be a joanna newsom cover, due to my undying love for bombay and joanna and it was pretty much heaven when i realised yes my friends this is an amazing cover! :D
