Ray Boltz it's not a Judgement as some have said it here, when a christian truly knows the path of righteousness then, the devil tries to tell us things to make it look better than it really is. He says: The grass really looks better over here, what the devil never says is that there is septic tank under that greener grass. We are to pray for him or her, If we truly love them as Christ instructs us? If you love your brother or sister like you say you do: Jesus wants us to help, encourage them and pray for them without ceasing, we are not instructed to judge them but, we are required to bring them back to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords! This is our promise to not be perfect rather, strive for perfection, not one of us is perfect and we are all saved by His grace, we owe our blessed Savior everything, He died on the cross for us all, shed his blood, was beaten, mocked and, nailed to an old rugged cross, arose on the 3rd appointed day and saved us all, gave us eternal life!

This is a beautiful and meaningful song. Ray Boltz himself needs to come to the alter he sings about. I listen to a lot of my old Ray Boltz favorites on YouTube, and can't help read people's comments. Some pray for his repentance from the gay lifestyle, while others vehemently say it's not our place to judge. Here is my take on this. We, as donate humans, can't judge his heart, intentions or relationship with God, became can't see those things. BUT we can hold up the standard of God's word to judge his lifestyle. When I was on jury duty, they told us not to check our common sense in at the door. Yet as Christians, we are so terrified of"judging" that we check in our common sense (Bible sense). God specifically condemns homosexually in the Bible. Jesus defined marriage as being between one man and one woman for life. So, my beliefs in the Bible would have me side with those who pray for Ray's repentance. And there's something else too. I've followed Ray's story pretty closely. Something was missing. He silently struggled with homosexually for years. Not even his wife knew about it. Finally, he couldn't hold it in, and decided to adopt a gay lifestyle. There was never a point of admission of this and seeking help and Christian accountability. Not only that, but look at what his indulgence led to. He has broken his marriage vows, and redefined his beliefs. Even without homosexually, this is wrong. I believe Ray is a Christian brother who needs our prayers.

O my word! I was just listening to this song with the intent of using it during a repentance presentation at church...and now I'm reading this..I had no idea.
My prayer is that the holy Spirit will never leave his mind and conscience, that he will be so troubled that he finds himself at this same alter..THAT'S WHAT THE ALTER IS FOR. LEAVE IT AT THE DOOR AND COME TO THE ALTER! GOD IS WAITING ON YOUR RETURN...LOVE YOU BROTHER!

Joanna Vinson I agree with one thing you said. I do think it's some kind of chemical imbalance. However, I disagree with you that it's not a choice. Ray may struggle with homosexual thoughts but he chooses whether he acts on them or not. If a homosexual truly wants to follow God, he should be staying celebrant. I have a high sex drive, always have. I constantly struggle to keep my thoughts in check and when I don't I ask forgiveness. Why? Because the Bible says it's wrong to have those thoughts. I could act those thoughts out and have a very promiscuous lifestyle and say, that's how I was born, God understands. No, it's against God's Word. I can trick myself into believing otherwise but you can't change God's Word.

I just don't believe that man couldn't have added into the bible when it was written things that are a sin being his own dislikes and disgust. I am a full believer in christ. But man has always been deceiving whether they are Christian or not. Some of the biggest sinners I have known claim to be followers of the word. I could believe it is HIS true want if it wasn't written by a human. But that isn't probable.

It is not that Christians are judging him but what he has done is a sin. He should not have given in to the devil like that.

But isn't he an open homosexual though now? Doesn't take discernment to know it's wrong and against the Holy Scripture. He needs to ask forgiveness from God and stop walking in darkness and come back to the light.

God does not ask for us to make excuses for ourselves or others for what He sees as sins, He asks that we repent and turn from the sin because He knows to die in sin is eternal damnation to one's soul.

I always try to sing along but the overwhelming beauty of rays voice and the message of this precious song just makes it almost impossible without choking on my tears of Thanksgiving.
