Boltz, Ray - Sent By The Father Lyrics

One more time you've heard the story
Of our Savior's birth
Heard how few beheld His glory
When He came to earth
Oh but soon every eye shall see Him
Angels at His side
See Him now on a great white stallion
In the eastern sky

Sent by the Father
Jesus go and call my children
A trumpet sounds and the angels sing
Like never before
With shepherds and wise men
We humbly bow
And every tongue confess that He is Lord

When He comes in all His glory
Comes to claim His own
We won't need a star to guide us
We'll be going home

Once a baby in a manger
No room at the inn
Now a king who reigns forever
Over death and sin

Sent by the Father
Jesus go and call my children
A trumpet sounds and the angels sing
Like never before
With shepherds and wise men
We humbly bow
And every tongue confess that He is Lord

Boltz, Ray Sent By The Father Comments

Hands down, my favorite Christmas song because Ray managed to wrap the Son of God as a child, the Son of God as our sacrifice and the Son of God, Who comes back to bring us home. It's pretty rare to find a song that compacts subjects like this, but Ray Boltz certainly had a gift for dusting off the stories from the bible and re-invent them into song.
Back in 2015, I performed Watch The Lamb at a camp function, and that was one of the last times I remember getting a standing ovation from the kids listening. Ray Boltz may be living a sinful and perverted lifestyle right now, but he is still making a huge impact with his music.

Praying for you Ray, You should take a day an sit back an listen to all the great song's you wrote ,Or God gave you an realize his word never change's only we change an i'm sad to see you walked away from God, You can try an rationalize all you want but you are apart from God an the enemy got what he wanted , He lied to you an made you believe the gay lifestyle was o.k , It's not Ray . So i pray that come back to the lord, His arm's are wide open..

So true Bill, Ray wrote great songs, but its never too late, as long there is breath in him, there is hope,we have to keep on praying for him, i know we may not judge, so we wont, cause we have all sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, so therefore like you said Bill , The arms of Jesus are wide open...!!!
