Boltz, Ray - Fallen Not Forgotten Lyrics

He stood beside his daddy
And watched the solders marching by
It was Veteran's Day and he wondered
Why there were tears in daddy's eyes
Later they laid flowers
Beside a monument of stone
He said, My daddy went to fight
And didn't make it home

Fallen, not forgotten
He was a hero
He stood so tall
And forever, we will remember
With honor and glory
He gave his all

They left behind their families
And the towns where they were born
For the rice paddies of Vietnam
And the sands of Desert Storm
They were soldiers in Korea
And World War One
And World War Two
They paid the price
Some gave their lives
And they fought for me and you

Fallen, not forgotten
They were the heroes
Who stood so tall
And forever, we will remember
With honor and glory
They gave their all

Now freedom is a blessing
But freedom has a price
And we must remember those
Who paid it with their lives

Remember the
Fallen, not forgotten
They were the heroes
Who stood so tall
And forever, we will remember
With honor and glory
They gave their all
Fallen, not forgotten
They were the heroes
Who stood so tall
And forever, we will remember
With honor and glory
With honor and glory
With honor and glory
They gave their all

This is a masterfully done video. I love this song. Amusingly, I first heard this song in Zambia, not the US. I was on a mission trip in Zambia shortly after this album came out, and the family we stayed with there played in all summer. As soon as I got back to the US, I went to the Christian bookstore and bought the tape.

    Great job, Dan! Thank you!

Wow! Thank you! This really brought tears to my eyes...more tears than you can imagine, because it brought back memories of a fallen friend of mine who gave his all in Vietnam, 1970, while serving with the 75th (Rangers) near AnKhe.

    Dan Rogers

I can imagine the tears, Boyce. Before answering the Lord's call to ministry, I served as a US Marine from 72-79. I lost more than a few brothers in my early years. Every man and woman who raises their hand and swears to defend our great nation has my respect and gratitude. May God bless them all.

I call Ray Boltz a Christian artist because the vast majority of his songs, that I have heard, have a Christian message, and because the only radio stations I have heard play his songs identify as Christian stations. I do not know him personally, nor would I judge his Christianity if I did. His music, however, has touched my heart many times. The first time I heard The Hammer and One Drop of Blood, I thought, wow, he is singing about me. As a sinner saved by Grace I accept that I can never live a perfect sin-free life, and thank God for the sacrifice He made to ensure my eternal life, regardless of what I have done.

    Ann Reffitt

Amen! Absolutely, Dan! You spoke the words right out of my mind and heart!

    King Italus

He is a homosexual who ripped his family apart and is openly living with a man having sex with him.

Unfortunately "Christian" is a very loose term in this pathetic world..

  19. Andy Derksen

Nothing against this song itself - but why do you call Ray Boltz a "Christian artist"?

    Boyce Ottinger

Because he is...just enter Ray Boltz in the YouTube Search Window and observe many of the christian songs he has performed. A few of my favorites are: (1) Where I Met Jesus (really touched my heart), (2) I Go to the River, (3) The Anchor Holds, and (4) I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb.

    King Italus

@Boyce Ottinger moron you know nothing
