Bobby Vinton - Tell Me Why Lyrics

Tell me why, though I try to forget
Tell me why, why I think of you yet
I know I'll never be free
What has happened to me?

Tell me why, when we danced until three
Tell me why, why my heart couldn't see
I never dreamed of romance
Never gave it a chance

When I think of how you looked that day
In your gown of silk and lace
Should have known the day you came my way
That this was the time and the place

Tell me why I keep fooling my heart
When I know it was love from the start
Why don't we give it a try?
If you know, tell me why

Tell me why I keep fooling my heart
When I know it was love from the start
Why don't we give it a try?
If you know, tell me why
Tell me, tell me why

  21. R.... ....

How anyone can not love all these great hits is beyond my comprehension! For anyone who doesn't understand - THIS WAS REAL MUSIC BY VERY TALENTED SINGERS!

  22. M.... ....

They will never make cool music like this again. No wonder so many couples fell in love.

    M.... ....

ye, and that is why they aren't in love today. They live together awhile and then they split or run around.

  23. T.... ....

    Great singer, great song!!!!!!!

  24. P.... S....

Tell me why these songs are so GREAT, Tell WHY,

    P.... S....

The answer is quite simple, these songs are not only beautiful and so melodious, but will last a lifetime not like the garbage these kids listen to these days. I ask you what is so great about listening to GARBAGE?

  25. s.... ....

Back in 1969 my older sister sold me a bunch of records for $10.00, Bobby Vintin's greatest hits was one of them, it was a very good investment, i learned a lot of his songs. And i still love them!!

  26. P.... L....

  27. g.... ....

i began listening to this in 2002, just like it was new.

  28. P.... L....

    Bob Vinton is Awsome!!!

  29. s.... ....

My husband and I will celebrate our 50th anniversary this october. We fell in love to this music, and it still makes me feel loved.

  30. B.... J....

I'm 13 and I'm glad that I can love old music

  31. 5.... ....

"Tell Me Why" was a fall, 1951, hit for the Four Aces and reached #2 on the charts -- beautiful vocal by Bobby Vinton...he sings all the originals better than the originals did (witness Bobby's "Blue Velvet," an early Tony Bennett hit)...

  32. P.... P....

    Bellissima voce!!!!

  33. E.... ....

I agree with the young ones on here making comments. Back in the 50's and 60's we had good music. The rock, rap and hip hop of today is so cruel, crude and immoral. Too bad "our" music can't come back and replace it.

  34. D.... ....

@werewolf435 hey im 15 too and this stuff is brilliant music pleasure and satisfaction to my ears.

  35. t.... ....

@werewolf435 age has nothing to do with appreciating good music

  36. R.... ....

    告訴我 為什麼? 臺灣要給中国壓的死死的!

  37. q.... ....

Nothing like this music! It is the best and always will be!

  38. J.... R....

why u say ur 15 when ur profile says ur 22? i notice alot of comments on you tube claim a certain age yet their profile says different.

  39. A.... ....

My mom grew up on Bobby Vinton music from her mom playing it. She loves it!

  40. b.... ....

We were so lucky to grow up with this music, I am sure someone out there must have memories of their boy or girlfriend and how we all fell in love back then, slow dancing and romance is missing today, if kids do not make any memories what will they be thinking about 20 years from now? Would not trade my youth for today, thanks for this great song, Vinton such a performer!

    b.... ....

I was so in love back then. Our songs said it all how we felt back then. Our love was so real and the songs made us fall in love.

    b.... ....

God with these songs, it was easy to fall in love and most of us are still married. If not we are widowed not divorce.

  41. D.... M....

i was only a little nipper then but his music is absoludly fab

  42. C.... ....

    Great song. Great singer.
    Thanks for sharing.

  43. R.... R....

    great song!
