Bobby Day - Over And Over Lyrics
Ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm
Well, I went to a dance just the other night
Everybody there was there
I said over and over and over again
This dance is gonna be a drag
This dance is gonna be a drag
I said over and over and over again
This dance is gonna be a drag
Ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm
All at once it happened
The prettiest in the world
I said a-won't you come over and a-talk to me
And be my girl
I said a-won't you come over and a-talk to me
I said a-won't you come over and a-talk to me
And be my girl
Ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm
She said she was sorry
And I was a little bit late
She would a-wait and a-wait and a-wait and a-wait
For her steady date
She would a-wait and a-wait and a-wait and a-wait
For her steady date
She would a-wait and a-wait and a-wait and a-wait
For her steady date
Ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm, ah-mmm

Bobby Day Over And Over Comments
My favourite version.
Goodness he was fyne!! & super talented 🖤🍃🌿
A great R&ROLL Tune,Soul, before it got the label, great Dance track,a true classic!Think another treat, the other side, "Rocking Robin," by far the best version!
This song reminds me of my aunt may she rest in peace❤🙏🙏
Great artist
Bobby.....Bobby. Your voice. Beautiful oh. My👍👍👍👍💗💗😓👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏😇
I'd forgotten this one....
LOve this guy. . . .awesome. . .those 1950's rockers pioneered the genre and had immense talent! And Bless Wolfman Jack for championing their gifts on his great ole XERB radio shows.. ..
fantastique magnifique trop géniale ❤
I grew up thinking that The Dave Clark 5 wrote this song. Each one has its own tempo and beat. Like them both.
I LOVE ROCKIN' ROBIN!
Until today I only knew this song by the Dave Clark Five.
où là là c'est vraiment vraiment fantastique c'est trop trop géniale c'est magnifique j'adore ❤
c'est fantastique c'est tellement génial j'adore merci 👍
Thanks for posting this. Excellent sound. This is so tight and smooth compared to the DC5.
Use to sing this song a lot back in the day
My aunt used to play this a lot when I was a little girl back in the 70's. I loved it!! Never knew he was so attractive, as this is my first time seeing him.
Great song, voice, and face, rest in peace Bobby!!!
this takes me WAY BACK...DO OOH DO OOH DO OOH
unsung hero of rock n roll
Why is he not in the hall of fame?
Just another great hit single By Bobby Day as it is one of his Very best singles as it is Called Over And Over
Some wow and flutter throughout the recording esp at 1:56, you can easily hear it in the high sibilance of Bobby s voice
Check out "When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano" by him on YouTube.
Great backup by the Satellites.
It's better than the A side! Most of us agreed when it came out in 1958. We would call the local DJ on the radio and request Tossin' and Turnin' and asked that they turn the record Over and Over! They usually did. The Dave Clark 5 couldn't even get the lyrics right! They sang, "Everybody there was there, when the correct lyrics were "Everybody there was stag." Didn't rhyme with the next line, "This dance is gonna be a drag." Still one of my favorites!Just my .02.
This was on the other side of Rockin Robin not tossing and turning
good, but thurstons better version!!! LOL. t
no, he was a talentless leech.
Foe every time I played Robin,I must have played this ten times!
This is FANTASTIC! !
Love this song!!!
This is some B-side ! For me, it's a lot better than the Dave Clark Five version from 1965 - even though theirs got to No 1 in the States.
Better than Dave Clark ? You bet ! The DC5 were the worst of all the British groups, the worst ! Lousy singer, lousy band. A lot of noise.
WTF are you talking about DC5 rocked they had a ton of good tunes
I also like ffdp it la weird.
Brilliant!
Killer!
All thumbs up !!!
ONE OF MY FAVOURITES.
In 1958 when I was 9 years old, I bought this record for my cousin. The flip side was Rockin' Robin. THAT was her favorite song at the time. I was neutral about the songs.
never heard this original till now...like it....thanks for posting
That's Topping!!!
