Musical easter egg, I'm 95% sure about this: When he says "I have never loved before, I never knew the meaning", it's the same melody as "I've never been in love before" from the musical Guys and Dolls by Frank Loesser. Because of the matching theme of the song, I have to believe it was an homage, or inspiration, not coincidence.

This and "Once You Give In" are the gems on the otherwise abysmal "August Moon" album. I always thought it was great that Bobby seemed to stick all his poor to middling efforts on one album, because B.C., Cat in the Hat, Carry On, Heart of Mine, Stuck On You, and Where is Love are all top notch from beginning to end. I can forgive an artist for only having one forgettable album out of his first seven, and only 8 weak songs out of 66 or so- lol

I am 25. getting girlfriends to me used to be just for pleasure, but I listen to this song and those like it and I realize that I have to get someone to love up on. Ive never felt this before, the desire to sing some girl to sleep, namely with this song. Its crazy as hell man. This guy is like phillip glass: he has written or performed endless amounts of music and not much of it is bad, and those that I don't like will probably grow on me.
