Bobby Bare - Last Time Lyrics

Well, I've told you once and I've told you twice
But you never listened to my advice
You don't tried way hard to please me
But what you know it should be easy.

Oh, this could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, oh no.

Well, I'm sorry girl that I can't stay
Feelin' like I'd do today
Too much pain too much sorrow
Yes, I'll feel the same tomorrow.

Well, this could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, oh no.

Well, this could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, oh no.

Well, I've told you once and I've told you twice
Someone's got to pay the price
Here's the chance to change your mind
'Cause I've been alone a long long time.

This could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, oh no.

Oh no, oh no...

One of my sons,a daughter and two grandchildren, drove a hundred miles to see the Stones two weeks ago. I saw them in Liverpool,1963,as the bottom of the bill to Little Richard,Everly's and Bo Diddley....anyway,that was enough Stones for me...although like me,Mick and Charlie love Cricket!

I remember seeing that show in 1963 at the Odeon Newcastle upon Tyne, superb. I remember the price of the ticket 10 shillings and sixpence

Rocking Ronnie Walker ...thanks for sharing that great memory with me Ronnle. Incidently me and my group,(Gus Travis and The Midnighters) were on with Richard at the Tower Ballroom in 1962. He was top, followed by the Beatles and numerous other Liverpool bands.

A dream come true for you and your band. Small world Graham, I saw Richard at the City Hall Newcastle, probably 1962 when he was on tour with Sam Cooke and I think Jet Harris and Tony Meehan were on the bill. That might have been his comeback tour. My friend from Liverpool Geoff Taggart played in a couple of groups around Liverpool at that time, The Zeyphers and Ray Malcolm & The Sunsets, you may have come across them. Geoff did say that he played on the same festival bill as Richard and Jack Scott, Scott being one of his favourite singers

Rocking Ronnie Walker ..was hoping to find Zephyrs and Sunsets in my comprehensive Merseybeat book, but couldn't...there were so many of us. It was great sharing a dressing room with Richard,(Beatles were just another Merseyside group at the time) however,my dissappointment was huge...there was no sax lineup as we expected...he was drowned out by a sixteen year old organ pounder, called Billy Preston. No amount of plaudits from McCartney etc, ever did anything to placate me on that one!

Done! I wouldn't drive 100 miles to see anyone. Don't have too, been in Nashville since '69. Don Everly is a friend of mine long time. Never met Phil. Roger Cook, another brit that moved here Produced my 'Horse Album'. He wrote 'Long cool woman in a black dress' (The Hollies) & around 70 other chart songs (I believe in you) Don Williams. Have you been to my fb page-dant station farm.com? Some of the songs Roger produced are on there. I raise reg. Quarter horses & Paint's, along w/songwriting. Believe it or not, the Stones have an exibit in the Country music hall of fame museum here in Nashville! BTW the 'Horse' album was Roger's idea & best of all- his money! Done at Jack Clement's.
