Bob Marley - War Lyrics

Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
And another
Is finally
And permanently
And abandoned -
Everywhere is war -
Me say war.

That until there no longer
First class and second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes -
Me say war.

That until the basic human rights
Are equally guaranteed to all,
Without regard to race -
Dis a war.

That until that day
The dream of lasting peace,
World citizenship
Rule of international morality
Will remain in but a fleeting illusion to be pursued,
But never attained -
Now everywhere is war - war.

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
that hold our brothers in Angola,
In Mozambique,
South Africa
Sub-human bondage
Have been toppled,
Utterly destroyed -
Well, everywhere is war -
Me say war.

War in the east,
War in the west,
War up north,
War down south -
War - war -
Rumours of war.
And until that day,
The African continent
Will not know peace,
We Africans will fight - we find it necessary -
And we know we shall win
As we are confident
In the victory

Of good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah!
Good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah!
Good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah! [fadeout]

Am a Kenyan but am here crying my soul out cause of the Nigerians and blacks that are getting killed by South Africans...

    Randall Lewis

Sweet Rose, no foreigner was killed in the South African Xenophobic conflicts, I should know I am here on the ground in sunny South Africa, The only person killed was a taxi driver who confronted a group of foreign men who was selling drugs to people. This sparked the latest attack on foreign owned business in Pretoria and Johannesburg inner-cities. We were all concerned and now relieved to see the situation has normalised. Numerous arrest has been made and we are now busy restoring our relationships and assuring people that the support of South African people will always be there.

When I went to see "Marley" at the movies, I cried the entire last 30 minutes of the documentary. The most heartbreaking moment was seeing Bob reduced to bare 90 pounds or less, and without his beautiful dreadlocks, he was going through Chemo at the time. The man left a footprint of LOVE that will never and ever be washed away. Spread the LOVE !

  73. Outlaw By Nature

There are some who can see the future, not like sci-fi/fantasy non-sense but see that human nature will forever dictate how humans live and treat each other, so until human beings are ready to change, the way we treat each other won't. Bob marley could see that, R.I.P Bob, you were ahead of your time, we need to follow your example and live better, ONE LOVE!!!
